With each episode of the Fox comedy "New Girl," we've gotten to know Jess and her roomies Nick and Schmidt pretty well. But we haven't learned a lot about Winston. He played basketball in Europe. He seems to be the most even-keeled of the group. He doesn't have a job, and isn't sure of what job he wants or can get. But in "Bells," airing at 8 p.m. Nov. 29, we'll see Winston's dark side, teases Chicago native Lamorne Morris.  (He's such a Tunkel.) "First of all, Winston is extremely good at whatever he does," Morris told me during a Thanksgiving week interview at...

With Fox's "New Girl" returning its third season, star and Chicago native Lamorne Morris recently visited RedEye to talk about the show and what's in store for Winston, Jess, Nick and Schmidt. More importantly, Morris talked about the origins of the drinking game True American, which the show's characters introduced to fans in Season 1. In the game, players must stand on chairs, tables, countertops or anything that keeps them off the floor, which has become molten lava. Through a series of commands, shouts, trivia or whatever else players invent, they move around...

A Berwyn man was arrested Wednesday morning after his employer, Titan Security, found he was selling company products on eBay for thousands of dollars, county prosecutors said. Jeffrey Winston, 43, was employed as an installer of home alarm systems by Titan Security when he began stealing their products and selling them on his eBay account, Jwinston22, according to court records. The products were easy to identify as stolen because the eBay listings provided the serial numbers for each item, the police report said.

Big changes are afoot for the roomies on Fox's "New Girl" in the Season 1 finale. When the hit sitcom premiered last fall, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moved in with the boys--Nick (Jake Johnson), Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield). But in the season finale, "See Ya," airing at 8 p.m. May 8, they all deal with the possibility of Nick moving out to shack up with his ex, Caroline (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). Say it isn't so, Nick! As Nick prepares for the move, his roomies interview candidates to replace him before Nick...

All right, Northern Illinois fans, it's time to stop drinking the Jordan Lynch Kool-Aid. Yes, the kid is having an amazing season. Yes, he is the best quarterback (if not player) to put on a Huskies uniform. Yes, he should be in the conversation as a Heisman finalist. But unfortunately, he will not, and should not, win the award. I've loved watching Lynch play this season. He's doing things I've never seen a quarterback do in college. But it's not always about records and stats, especially when your university has the 33 r d -easiest schedule among FBS...

So you've met a hot guy, and he looks exactly like "True Blood"star Ryan Kwanten, but he's lame as hell. Would you put a bag over any conversation and do your business, or kick him to the curb? That's the quandary Jess (Zooey Deschanel) faces in the "Valentine's Day" episode of Fox's"New Girl," airing at 8 p.m. Feb. 14. Kwanten guest stars as Oliver, a hot guy Jess meets when her roomies take her out on Valentine's Day. But as you can see from the video clips in the player above, Oliver is pretty ... boring.

Lamorne Morris says everyone on "New Girl" breaks character while filming Fox's hit sitcom. But the Chicago native who plays even-keeled Winston cracks up the most. "Whenever Jake and Max have a conversation, I don't want to be in that scene. I'm ruining the take because it is so hysterical...," Morris said of his co-stars, Max Greenfield and Chicago native Jake Johnson, who with Morris play the three male roommates to Zooey Deschanel's quirky Jess. Morris said that the cast does get serious, and that's when he has to straighten up. "After Hour 14 [of...

For the first time in two weeks, the college football landscape has settled down a bit. Last weekend had several big-time matchups, but no real upsets took place aside from South Carolina coming back and beating previously unbeaten Missouri. Sure, Virginia Tech lost to Duke and Nebraska crapped the bed versus Minnesota, but those games are largely irrelevant, unless of course you are a Florida State fan and you need Virginia Tech to be ranked as high as possible in the hopes of beating them in the ACC title game and somehow passing Oregon for the No. 2 spot in the BCS rankings.

It can't be easy for an actor to step into a guest-starring role on a TV show, mixing it up with a cast that's been working together for weeks or even months. That wasn't an issue with Justin Long, who reprises his role of Paul Gunslinger on the Fox comedy "New Girl" in "Bad in Bed," airing at 8 p.m. Dec. 6. "The thing about Justin; we love him to death," cast member Lamorne Morris told me. "He came in and he brought that new energy to the set; it was absolutely incredible. " Chicago native Morris plays Winston, who lives with Nick (Jake Johnson)
