I recently sold the movie rights to my memoir, "Publish This Book," which basically means two things: 1) I don't have to eat cans of that weird generic soup from Aldi that always seem to have minor deformities in the carrots anymore and 2) It is now possible that someone will make a movie of my life and thus hire an actor to play me. This is disturbing on quite a number of levels. Do I want someone better-looking than me, thereby causing people to be extremely disappointed when they meet the real me?

The focal point of the bar will be "The Lens," a reflective statue made of the same materials as "Cloud Gate" (The Bean"). "The Lens" is the work of Denver-based artist David Sorenson.

*1/2 (out of four) In his well-intentioned but self-serving documentary “Reincarnated,” Snoop Dogg - sorry, Snoop Lion, his new reggae persona - says many things he can't substantiate: > > Hip-hop is a form of reggae and reggae is a form of hip-hop, so there's no difference. > > He, Warren G and Nate Dogg were sort of like Long Beach's version of the Wailers. > > He made pimpin' lovable and fashionable. > > Death Row Records put Mexicans, blacks, Bloods and Crips on the same page.

So why were they willing to participate in this film? Why is it now OK to give an inside look into former missions and the feelings of the former heads of the operation? Director Dror Moreh's film does not answer these questions, nor does it do a particularly good job of providing context for the never-ending conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Janet Martin loves to add a dash of honey to your commute. The CTA customer service agent greets many Brown Line riders with a "honey" and asks them about their day. If they need help getting to the platform, she's always there with an extra hand. The riders at the Kedzie stop in Albany Park, where Martin works from 6-9:30 a.m., don't just like her. They adore her. In a post last week on everyblock.com , a Chicago neighborhood discussion board, riders heaped praise on Martin, who has worked at the Chicago, Western and Addison stops in the past few years.
