*** (out of four) “The Muppets” star/co-writer Jason Segel sees nothing wrong with adults loving to entertain children of all ages with puppets. Neither does Kevin Clash, who grew up admiring Jim Henson and later befriended the entertainment innovator as Clash worked on “Labyrinth” and “Sesame Street” and, through his voice and puppetry, turned Elmo into the superstar he is today. This 73-minute documentary by Constance Marks and Philip Shane traces Clash's life from his Baltimore-area adolescence - where...

Pizza review: Old Fifth 1027 W Madison St. 312-374-1672 Rating: 3 (out of four) Whiskey and pizza - why don't we see more of this dynamic duo? Old Fifth, a nearly month-old sports bar in the West Loop, provides the city with not only these two essentials, but solid draft beer and ample TVs as well. On a stretch of Madison leading to the United Center, this newcomer - named for a former 5th Ward alderman who in 1872 developed the building that now houses the pizzeria - isn't lacking for sports bar competition.

I love men, and I gravitate toward dirty ones. Not dirty like kinky; dirty like rough and tumble, scruffy-faced and dirty hands. I also really enjoy those hands in special, delicate ecosystems of mine, if you get my drift. This has resulted in some issues, such as a lovely jalapeno burn down under from a guy who made me nachos one night and didn't wash after. I need a nice, sexy way to tell my men, "Wash your freaking hands before you go spelunking!" Advice? - Dirty but delicate By "a sexy way," you probably don't mean showing your sex partners...

"Bridesmaids" may have been the big lady-comedy of 2011, but "Bad Teacher" is taking it one step further. The Cameron Diaz snarkfest that should've been a lot funnier than it actually was is being adapted for CBS, deadline.com reports. Given some of the racy scenes in the flick -- and the fact that the network already had a show called "$#*! my Dad Says" -- we're a little curious about how the movie will be edited for content. Here's our best guess as to how things will play out. damoran@tribune.com | @redeyedana Movie scene: A student...

Where a normal person might see random fabric hanging from the ceiling when going through a car wash, Shedd Aquarium staff members see the makings of a sea otter habitat. Recycled bottles become jellyfish. PVC? Twigs for penguins nest. Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary is all in a day's work for the four members of the Shedd's fab shop, the place where they create the display pieces that the 2 million plus who flock to the Shedd each year will see inside the exhibits. “We take artificial materials and make them look very real, as much as we can,” said Kristen Neria,...

Frat parties. Dive bars. Your grandpa's lawn chair. These have long been the natural habitats for easy-to-drink, cheap beers, but at two Chicago bars, Miller High Life and Pabst Blue Ribbon have achieved gourmet status. Whether it's silly or serious, it's definitely a novelty, but don't worry - no one's going to force you to hold your pinkie finger out while you sip. Miller High Life bottle service at RM Champagne Salon 116 N. Green St. 312-243-1199 RM Champagne Salon has an extensive list of bubbles, but the West Loop lounge also toasts "the champagne of beers.

(originally published Nov. 17, 2008) In conversation, "Twilight" star and sudden mega-heartthrob Robert Pattinson frequently breaks into a giddy, surprised laugh - like he can't believe the silliness of becoming, seemingly overnight, the sort of actor who receives questions about his hair and the love of thousands of screaming girls. You can't blame him for being a bit overwhelmed. The anticipation for the big screen adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's hit novel - about immortal vampire Edward Cullen (Pattinson)
