What is a bar-gument, you say? For as long as there have been watering holes, there have been disagreements. Some people prefer martinis with gin, some with vodka. Bar-guments is here to settle some longstanding bar conflicts once and for all. THIS WEEK: Which is more important--a clean bar seat, or a clean bathroom?   Bar seat Do I appreciate a tidy bathroom at a bar? Absolutely. But I don't select a watering hole based on the cleanliness of the room where I'm going to spend the least amount of time.

The setup: We're finally coming down from our Valentine's Day sugar high, and now here comes Easter on Sunday. Time for a faceoff! Emily Van Zandt likes Easter candy; Victoria Rodriguez prefers Valentine's Day sweets. Victoria: When I was a little girl, I would wake up on Valentine's Day to find a big, heart-shaped chocolate box and two smaller ones on our dining room table. The bigger box was for Mom and the two smaller ones for my twin sister and me. I will take Valentine's Day candy over Easter candy anytime because it holds a special place in my heart.

This week: Justin Vernon's indie folk act Bon Iver has risen from playing venues like Schubas to playing Chicago Theatre and, on Friday, UIC Pavilion. The group recently received several Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist. The question: Does all this mainstream success damage Bon Iver's indie cred? Yes How much street cred can a band really maintain once it's reached stratospheric fame? Sure, Bon Iver is playing to the man (and mainstream fans) with a UIC gig, but what might suffer more is their sound.

It's the new year, and you want new music. The question: Is it still worth listening to music on the radio? Yes So maybe you don't cruise around listening to Ryan Seacrest. That doesn't mean radio is irrelevant. Radio in all its 2012 forms (including Pandora and Sirius) is still introducing people to new artists. Without the college station that fed into my hometown, I never would have heard Smashing Pumpkins, and in a few years it'll do the same for some kid hearing the White Stripes.

Plug my name into any major search Internet engine and glaring at you, somewhere below entries for Facebook and Twitter and RedEye, will be the following words: Emily Van Zandt is a lightweight. Last fall, a blogger found it odd that a nightlife writer would feel buzzed after three cocktails and a glass of champagne in under two hours at The Aviary. In his mind, it was a rookie night of drinking. My 20something conscience felt immediately moved to prove the Internet otherwise.

Some like their pizza cut in squares, while others swear by slices. For as long as we've been stuffing our faces with delicious food, there have been conflicts about the way we eat it. Addressing such fervent foodie issues, we are proud to introduce Food fight. Which part of the turkey is better? WHITE MEAT When it comes Thanksgiving, life is food on food on food. More is definitely more and as such, I say white meat all the way. Simply put, there's more of it. So while you're off enjoying a few servings of dark meat, I'll be off making...

This week: As year-end top 10 lists emerge, you discover that you don't like your significant other's musical taste. The question: Is that a deal-breaker? Yes Taste matters. Books, movies, music, where to go for dinner - if you can't get along the majority of the time, it's going to be rough going. If they love top 40 and your musical taste is guided solely by blogs, good luck on sharing the finer things in life. And by finer things I mean Friday road-trip playlists, Monday morning playlists, Sunday cuddling playlists and a general...

Carlos Boozer's poor defense kills the Bulls. The Cubs bullpen implodes. Adam Dunn strikes out - again. Fans have plenty of reasons to boo their own teams. But should they? We tackle that in this edition of Go Nuts!   Boo all you want Not boo my own team? How am I supposed to appropriately communicate my disappointment in coaching decisions? Nobody wants to get the players discouraged, but every now and then you have to let the staff know what's up. We're in this together.

Screw you, Internet. Thanks to a couple of posts on blogs that I refuse to own up to following, my afternoon has been dedicated to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe. " If my Spotify could talk it would say something like "Emily Van Zandt listened to 'Call Me Maybe' 18.5 times today, kind of in a row. " Thankfully there's that whole "private session" function, which has never been more necessary. Apparently Jepsen was a contestant on Canadian Idol? And Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and some girl from a few Disney movies did a lip-synch YouTube video to this song, so...
