From Bryan Cranston to Ken Watanabe to Elizabeth Olsen to Sally Hawkins, there's no shortage of A-list stars in Gareth Edwards' "Godzilla," out Friday. But there's one big name who's shied away from the red carpet, avoiding all interviews and keeping a low profile: the man himself. But through the powers of our international monster contacts (read: our imaginations), we managed to land an exclusive with the world's most famous tyrant lizard, Godzilla. With the help of a translator, here's what he had to say about his latest film, his emotional journey and his favorite way to fill a tortilla.

*1/2 (out of four) When setting a love story in a war-torn environment, it's nice to actually recognize the who, what and why of the conflict -- not just treat it like an inconvenience to personal happiness. In the flashbacks of "Twice Born," lovely Italian Gemma (Penelope Cruz) meets lively American Diego (Emile Hirsch) in Bosnia. The attraction is instant. She thinks this 23-year-old photographer is too young for her; he'd be foolish to let her halfhearted doubts stop him, so he doesn't.

Ever get one of those text messages from the guy or girl you're crushing on, and it drives you crazy trying to figure it out? Of course you have. In the interest of promoting a greater dating dialogue, RedEye asked two singles to help out each other - and the dating public at large. Dana Moran and Stephen Markley swapped nine text messages they've received from the opposite sex and volunteered to translate the subtext of the other person's texts on behalf of his or her gender. We've done this exercise once before, and we're doing it again!

As a gay man, I receive a lot of text messages from other gay men. And as a gay man, I also receive a surprising number of text messages from straight men. So after many years of receiving these texts, I have become something of an expert in translating underlying meanings and messages. (Not that I'm alone here. Many gay men possess this same skill set. It's one of the things you learn from all those years in the closet, right along with how to dress and make a souffle.) So without further ado, here are my attempts to decipher the true meanings...

Once in a while, a movie slips under your radar. For about, oh, 20 years. In 'Big-screen blind spot,' we sit down with those 'classic' movies everybody but us has seen and give them the nostalgia critic treatment. Confession: Until last night, I had never seen “Lost In Translation,” the Sophia Coppola-helmed Bill Murray/Scarlett Johansson vehicle about loneliness, longing and Japan. Had I watched it in 2003 at the age of 18: As a freshman in college, my key focuses were consuming alarming amounts of Southern...

As they begin Season 3 of "Key & Peele" ( 9:30 p.m. CT Wednesday, Sept. 18, Comedy Central; 3 stars out of 4 ), comics Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele need to focus on new material. It's not that fan favorite characters such as President Obama's Anger Translator and Mr. Garvey the substitute teacher don't still bring the laughs, but the new sketches involving these characters don't necessarily expand the joke like a new sketch involving football players Hingle McCringleberry and Ozamataz Buckshank, who rap with their...

Jose Quintana already had two strikes against him before he ever set foot in Chicago in May. He had already been released by both the N.Y. Mets and N.Y. Yankees as a low-level minor leaguer. He also served a 50-game suspension as a Mets farmhand in 2007 for violating Major League Baseball's drug policy, something he chalks up to teenage naivete. "What you learn from a suspension is just that you have to be more aware of what you intake with supplements," he said recently through translator Jackson Miranda.

Like the entire fourth season, the latest episode "Justified" was smart, funny and nerve-wracking. It was also kind of sweet thanks to the return of Natalie Zea. She hasn't been a regular on the show--she's working on Fox's "The Following"--but the networks and productions worked things out so she could reprise her role as Winona Hawkins, ex-wife of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). "The fact that I'm able to do both of these [shows] has been just beyond cool," she told me recently, "because it doesn't happen like that often.
