Thinking about taking your band on tour? The costs add up fast, according to Joe Carsello, Metro talent buyer. First, you need a van, which will likely run from $20,000 to $30,000 or more. Then there's gas money, food, and shelter, and of course gear. In addition to laptops, iPods, and luggage, which individuals may want to take on tour with them, instruments are usually the most high-value cargo in a tour van. "Usually you leave with no money and you come home with no money," Carsello said.

After postponing or cancelling seven "Bangerz" shows, Cyrus announced on Monday her rescheduled tour dates and two additional shows in Pittsburgh and Chicago, according to a press release. This weekend, Englewood is joining the list of Chicago neighborhoods with their own alderman-led community tours. The tour, led by 15th Ward Alderman Toni Foulkes, will make stops at the local library and firehouse, Growing Home, the South Side neighborhood's urban farm and job training site, and a new water park playlot built last year on Hermitage Avenue. Paramore will kick off its first North American tour since 2010 on Aug. 25. The band will be starting in Houston. The tour supporting the release of the band's upcoming eponymous album makes its way to the Chicago Theatre on May 9. The album drops April 9. Pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively to members of Paramore's fan club and singles club starting at 5 p.m. Monday. Remaining tickets will be available starting Feb. 1. The Carters are coming! The Carters are coming! For weeks rumors have circulated that married icons Beyonce and Jay-Z would headline a tour this summer, and the rumors have now been confirmed: You can see the mega-stars Thursday, July 24 at Soldier Field as part of the “On the Run” tour. The title is a play on the 2013 Jay-Z track “Part II: On the Run” that featured - wait for it - Beyonce. A promotional item for the tour features a photo of the couple in ski masks. Good thing there's no mistaking Mrs. Carter's eyes.

Ben Folds Five will be releasing a new album later this fall for the first time in 13 years. "The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind" is scheduled to be released Sept. 18, followed by a world tour, according to a news release. The Undateable Tour Up Comedy Club 3 out of 4 stars   Some upcoming TV shows bombard you with commercials. Or bus bench ads. Or annoying full-page website pop-ups. But the NBC comedy series "Undateable," which debuts later this year, isn't your run-of-the-mill cheap laugh. To prove it, the show's co-creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence ("Scrubs," "Spin City," "Cougar Town") grabbed his four lead actors and set off on a nine-city comedy tour to showcase their personalities.

40/40 Clubs will collide with "The 20/20 Experience" all summer--not because "Suit and Tie" will be all over the radio but because Jay-Z (who owns the 40/40 Club sports bar chain) and Justin Timberlake, the men behind the (highly anticipated and mildly received) song, are reportedly planning a massive tour together for later this year. JT hinted at a big announcement on Twitter before the Grammys, where the pair performed together. It was apparently a preview of an 11- to 13-city tour set for stadiums around the country, according to Rolling Stone ....

The crazy town that is "Bates Motel" won't get any saner when it reopens March 3. A&E Tuesday posted four video teases for Season 2 on its YouTube channel that reflect the videos you can see at its new interactive www.bates.motel.com web site. The site takes you inside the Bates Motel and Norma's house. You can unlock video clues about what happened in Season 1 and where Season 2 is headed. Fans also can virtually walk up the "Psycho" stairs, tour the motel's rooms, walk around the property and scroll over Easter eggs.
