It's time for a special episode of "Chicago Story. " Warning: it's a rerun. Someone is clearly on his way to greatness here, has a falling out, goes and achieves greatness somewhere else and returns here for the twilight years. Think Greg Maddux. Can't help but think of that one as Jerry Reinsdorf is wooing Tony La Russa. "Should never have fired him. " "Worst mistake ever. " "I wanted to make sure he landed on his feet. " I'll recap: Sox can La Russa, he goes on to win multiple titles with the A's and Cardinals.

That took long enough. I've been throwing stuff for years. Hats off to Kerry Wood who did something rash, disgusting, inexplicable and inexcusable. He had an honest expression of emotion and (gasp!) threw his cap and glove into the crowd the other night. Bravo. I hate watching the Cubs. Sad, but true. They are a constant reminder that all the money in the world can't solve deep-rooted problems in culture and philosophy. Heck, St. Louis lost Albert Pujols, Tony LaRussa and Dave Duncan and they're humming along.

If he's so great, why hasn't he been in the NFL? By the way, the last coach we hired who coached in Canada? Neil Armstrong. Dislike. Dislike: This guy is being talked about like the only player he has to coach is Jay Cutler. Um, sorry. Other guys on that team could use a butt-whooping.
