At the 48th Chicago International Film Festival (Oct. 11-25), the Centerpiece Film will be "Cloud Atlas," directed and written by native Chicagoans Lana and Andy Wachowski, the siblings who masterminded the "Matrix" trilogy, and and Tom Tykwer. "We are thrilled to welcome Lana and Andy Wachowski back to their beloved hometown," Michael Kutza, Founder and Artistic Director of the Chicago International Film Festival, said in a press release.
