His story reads like a script from a movie: Small town boy, saddled with debt, turns to stripping to make extra cash while he figures out what he wants to do with his life. He becomes good at shedding his clothes for men and women, moves to the big city, and his career as a stripper takes off. But for this 31-year-old Logan Square resident, who goes by the stage name "Blake," the limelight hasn't always been kind. His first time on stage, in 2004, he made $11. "Seven dollars of it was from a guy. It was awful.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's an important moment in American history. No, Jessica Simpson has not had her baby (yet). The trailer for "Magic Mike," aka The Channing Tatum Stripper Movie, was unleashed on the Internet on Thursday. While it's slightly less revealing than we'd hoped, this is a preview after all. We took on the daunting task of watching it approximately 34 times to break down this cinematic wonder by the numbers. You're welcome. damoran@tribune.com | @redeyedana 2 The number of sexy cops who bust up a...

Some people will do anything to gain Twitter followers. Actress Kate Walsh took her quest to the pole Tuesday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show. " Walsh, who plays an ex-stripper in FX's new drama "Fargo," did a pole dance as DeGeneres threw dollar bills, silly string and other things at her. It was actually DeGeneres's idea. Walsh recently reached 500,000 Twitter followers and posted a video of her doing a high kick as a thank you. DeGeneres, who has 28.5 million Tweeps, said she could do better.

A gift drive that offered a free lap dance in exchange for the donation of a child's toy was supposed to end this weekend at the Admiral Theater in Albany Park, but media attention and a mention on "SNL" has extended the offer. Last week, the adult-entertainment venue offered a $10 lap dance to anyone who brought in an unused toy for charity, according to Tim Brown, who handles marketing for the 3940 W. Lawrence Ave. club. The drive was set to expire Sunday, but it will continue to accept what Jimmy Fallon referred to this weekend as...

If fans of ABC's "Revenge" feel like making a drinking game out of watching the soapy series, they now have a drink of choice: the Black Dahlia. In Wednesday's episode, "Treachery," the real Emily Thorne--I'll call her Amanda (Margarita Levieva) to make things easier--mixed up a few Black Dahlias for herself and bar hunk Jack (Nick Wechsler). I looked around the web for the drink and found many versions of it. But not the "Revenge" version. So here's the recipe as Amanda said it: BLACK DAHLIA 3 ounces of vodka 1 ounce Creme de cassis ...

***1/2 (out of four) Waka Flocka Flame is a rapper who embodies pretty much every common critique of hip-hop: his music is noisy, often violent or materialistic, and he is almost completely lacking in lyrical depth. Your opinion of his material probably depends largely on whether you believe any piece of music played at a certain volume could be improved by someone yelling “FLOCKA” or “SQUAD” or “BOW” or “FLEX” in the background. But in case you're on the fence about this question, let's be clear: the answer is...

Everyone has had friends ask them about former jobs. The questions “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum receives aren't exactly, “So, did you like being a camp counselor?” “'Were you naked? Were you butt-naked? How many girls did you take home?'” Tatum recalls being asked about the eight months he spent as a male stripper when he was 18 and 19. “[Guys] just want to know [everything]. It's something that I think they never really thought of.” The actor, who adds that many women are similarly fascinated by uninhibited aspects of female stripping - “They might judge it,” he...
