I'm in a bind. My friend Elliott and I bought tickets to see the much-anticipated conclusion to Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises” on IMAX this Wednesday. Let me note that this is exactly the way I want to see it. With over an hour of footage shot specifically for the IMAX screen, it's one of the few times a $20 movie ticket is totally worth it (“Avatar” and “Watchmen” being very important instances of when it was not). Even though his journey was cut short, we'll always remember him for spouting off one of the funniest one-liners of the series so far: When fellow team member Steve “Nookie” Postal asked him...

Something tells me Nucky Thompson's shocking move in the Season 2 finale of "Boardwalk Empire" will come back to haunt him. A new teaser for the HBO drama's third season (spoiler alert!) replays in super slo-mo Nucky (Steve Buscemi) gunning down his one-time protege Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt), who betrayed his former mentor in a political coup. It's dark and moody, which suggests Nucky will feel the reprecussions of the murder for a long time to come. The most revealing part of the clip shows Nucky looking over Darmody's body, and as he drops...

Wisconsin at Nebraska, Sept. 29 This could be a preview of the Big Ten championship game. Regardless, you'll be seeing a lot of red in the stands, for better or worse. Michigan State at Michigan, Oct. 20 Whoever wins this game might have the inside track on the Legends Division crown. The teams also can compare notes on losing to Notre Dame. Nebraska at Northwestern, Oct. 20 A victory over the powerhouse Cornhuskers would go a long way toward convincing some that the Wildcats are for real - especially with all the Nebraska fans expecting...
