Hot on the heels of Showtime's announcement that "The Borgias" will return for a 10-episode Season 3 next year comes one of the best episodes of the much improved second season, titled "The Choice" and airing at 9 p.m. May 6. Francois Arnaud, who plays warrior Cardinal Cesare Borgia, called it "the sexy episode. When “The Sessions” co-star William H. Macy came to Chicago in the early 1970s, he briefly worked as a waiter at former Lincoln Park bar Le Pub. He made more money, he says, as a carpenter. “[I would] build shelves and things like that for people … I'm still hacking away at things,” the actor said at the James Hotel before heading to a location shoot for his Showtime series, “Shameless.” “I'm a terrible carpenter, but I do love doing it.” Fortunately Macy spends more time on his day job, racking up countless standout roles in films including “Boogie Nights,”...

Sex, murder, intrigue - and the tiniest bit of religion - have made a successful cocktail for Showtime. The network has picked up "The Borgias" for a second season. "The Borgias" tells the real-life tale - totally fictionalized, however - of Rodrigo Borgia, a cunning cardinal who became Pope Alexander in the 15th century. Jeremy Irons appears to be having an awfully fun time playing the Pope, chewing the beautiful scenery to bits. The series has been attracting at least 1 million viewers for the debut airing of each new episode.

Whenever Pope Alexander VI needs something nasty handled in Showtime's "The Borgias," he turns to his son, Cesare Borgia. If Cesare doesn't choose to handle the dirty deed himself, he relies on his hit man of sorts, Micheletto. In the series third season, the Borgias may meet their match. "The main threat to the family in Season 3 is Caterina Sforza and her own assassin," says series star Francois Arnaud, who plays Cesare, in this preview supplied exclusively to Show Patrol. It will air Sunday night on Showtime.

Showtime on Friday released its official trailer for the eighth and final season of “Dexter,” finally revealing who his main foe will be - aside from himself. Dr. Evelyn Vogel (Charlotte Rampling), a neuro-psychiatrist called in to help Miami Metro, seems to make Dexter (Michael C. Hall) a bit nervous. She's an expert on all the things that make psychopaths tick. “They have no empathy,” she and Dexter agree. She seems to figure out Dexter from the get-go, challenging him to the point where he slams her up against a...
