Rumblings that The Abbey , a standout gay bar from West Hollywood, might be opening a second location in Chicago haven't gotten past the "rumor" stage, as it turns out. "We're always on the lookout for a second location," said Widran Quesada, spokesman for The Abbey. "But there haven't been any decisions made. " Rumors began circling this summer that a spot at 3532 N. Halsted St. in Boystown was being eyed and ChicagoPride.com reported that Wendy Berger Shapiro, who runs a Chicago equities firm, was under contract to buy the location.

**1/2 (out of four) Both as a solo artist and with Outkast, Big Boi has proven to be an intensely dedicated craftsman--an open-minded listener rooted in Southern funk but relentlessly interested in pushing its boundaries. Yet that rep is often forgotten, or at least more closely associated with the enigmatic Andre 3000. It happened one day in July 2010. Two days actually. July 7 and 8. In those 48 hours, professional basketball changed in Chicago and Miami. Early July 7, Bulls fans still thought The Decision would mean Chitown. Jordan's throne. Rose's home. If LeBron wasn't coming, then certainly Dwyane Wade. Rumor had it Wade wanted to return to Chicago to be closer to his children. Rumor had it he was bringing his friends. That's the trouble with rumors. When we woke July 8, Wade was still a member of the Heat, and he'd convinced Chris Bosh to join him. When we woke July 9, James...

Bulls fans, we've gone through this before with Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and perhaps dozens of other big-name NBA free agents that were on Chicago's wish list only to head elsewhere. This time, it's different. Why? Because the Bulls actually are one of the better teams in the NBA and have players that other teams wouldn't mind having. That makes the rumor that the Bulls are one of the favorites to land Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard so tantalizing.
