Big changes are afoot for the roomies on Fox's "New Girl" in the Season 1 finale. When the hit sitcom premiered last fall, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moved in with the boys--Nick (Jake Johnson), Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield). But in the season finale, "See Ya," airing at 8 p.m. May 8, they all deal with the possibility of Nick moving out to shack up with his ex, Caroline (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). Say it isn't so, Nick! As Nick prepares for the move, his roomies interview candidates to replace him before Nick decides to take them all out to the desert where each one of...

You know the stars of TV Land's new sitcom, “The Exes,” from their past hits, including “Seinfeld,” “Scrubs,” “Third Rock from the Sun” and “The Starter Wife.” Keep those happy memories in mind if you tune in Wednesday. “The Exes” ( 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, TV Land; 2 stars ) is infinitely more entertaining than Fran Drescher's mediocre “Happily Divorced,” but like that TV Land show it pales in comparison to the network's “Hot in Cleveland.” “Cleveland,” by the way, returns Wednesday to unhook us from last season's cliffhanger in...

So you've met a hot guy, and he looks exactly like "True Blood"star Ryan Kwanten, but he's lame as hell. Would you put a bag over any conversation and do your business, or kick him to the curb? That's the quandary Jess (Zooey Deschanel) faces in the "Valentine's Day" episode of Fox's"New Girl," airing at 8 p.m. Feb. 14. Kwanten guest stars as Oliver, a hot guy Jess meets when her roomies take her out on Valentine's Day. But as you can see from the video clips in the player above, Oliver is pretty ... boring.

With each episode of the Fox comedy "New Girl," we've gotten to know Jess and her roomies Nick and Schmidt pretty well. But we haven't learned a lot about Winston. He played basketball in Europe. He seems to be the most even-keeled of the group. He doesn't have a job, and isn't sure of what job he wants or can get. But in "Bells," airing at 8 p.m. Nov. 29, we'll see Winston's dark side, teases Chicago native Lamorne Morris.  (He's such a Tunkel.) "First of all, Winston is extremely good at whatever he does," Morris told me during a...

Some of my fondest memories of my early single years (notice I said “early”) in Chicago have to do with the holidays, when my friends and I would get together and not only drink, but make Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Those get-togethers always were enjoyable and sometimes uncomfortable - I'm thinking specifically of the time I accidentally eavesdropped on some rather loud sex being had in the bedroom next to the pantry where I was trying to sleep. Anyway, a friend introducing a new boyfriend or girlfriend into the group...

OK, this is not a story about seven roommates in Chicago, but Chicago residents could be among the seven roommates living together somewhere for the 28th season of MTV's "Real World. " MTV hasn't said where the roomies will live, but casting directors from Bunim/Murray Productions, creators of the long-running reality series, will conduct an open casting call March 31 at Dave and Busters. Applicants must be at least 21 years old by March 1, 2013, and "appear to be between the ages of 20 and 24. " They should a great personality and a willingness to...

You may not want to wait to see James Van Der Beek in ABC's new comedy "Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23," but don't let the inconsistent premiere turn you away. The former "Dawson's Creek" hunk provides much of the charm and limited punch lines until "Apartment 23" ( 8:30 p.m. April 11, ABC; 2.5 stars ) starts to find its way in later episodes. When June (Dreama Walker) moves to New York for a job at a big investment bank she discovers the FBI closing the place down and arresting the boss for a Bernie Madoff-like scam.

I have lots of advice for my 20-something self. I would tell her that while strapless may never go out of style, tube tops most certainly will; that you don't need to make up an excuse like a "book club" to drink a gallon of wine with your girlfriends; and that it's OK to think foie gras tastes like mucus. I also would tell her to be more discriminatory about roommates. Instead of picking bunkmates based on friendship, I wish I had picked ones who could actually - I don't know - do something for me?

Having spent time in both Chicago and New York, I've noticed some serious differences in the dating pools: For one, I am able to wear heels in Chicago without fear of towering over the entire bar. Then again, there's something to be said about a guy who will attend a Broadway show and not spend the entire intermission insisting on his straightness. In this game, there are no winners, just preferences. So are you dating in the right city? Let's break it down. His appearance Chicago: Nothing like a navy blue Ralph Lauren polo and J. Crew chinos to adorn a...
