Now that the Doctor's met his new companion, Clara Oswald (again), the duo head off in the TARDIS this weekend to the rings of the planet Akhaten in the latest episode of "Doctor Who. " "It's Clara's first outer-space adventure," Jenna-Louise Coleman, who plays Clara, told me of her favorite episode. " In "The Rings of Akhaten," which debuts at 7 p.m. CT April 6 on BBC America, Clara asks the Doctor (Matt Smith)

Dule Hill sounded a little bit like his always-hungry character Gus on USA Network's "Psych" when he came to Chicago this week. The actor ate a pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza at Giordano's on Thursday and planned to go to Lou Malnati's for more pizza Friday. "Why not?" he said. "I'm in Chicago. " (Update: I see from his Twitter feed he made it to Lou Malnati's.) Hill is in town to promote USA's third annual Characters Unite Month, which builds on its ongoing public service commitment to combat prejudice and discrimination.

The latest episode of "Community" wasn't only fun for Danny Pudi because he got to dress as his character Abed dressing as Inspector Spacetime, but because he got to act opposite British funnyman Matt Lucas. The "Little Britain" and "Come Fly With Me" comic guest stars as Abed's email "pen-pal," Toby Davies, who agrees to meet Abed at InspecTiCon, the annual Inspector Spacetime Convention, that Abed and Troy (Donald Glover) attend each year. The rest of the Greendale gang reluctantly agrees to attend the convention, but Toby and another rather attractive Spacetime fan played by Tricia Helfer ("Battlestar Galactica")

This Sunday is the Oscars, and in preperation you should listen to my appearance on "The Winners and Losers Podcast" with Chicago comedians Hank Thompson and Jeff Steinbrunner right here .  We talk "Django," "Zero Dark," "Argo," "Silver Linings," "Beasts," and all the rest. We make predictions and bitch about what deserves to win. Offensive comments are made. Larger social and political contexts are explored. Everyone gets laid at the end. Also, if you're watching the broadcast on Sunday and have the Twitter nearby, I will be making numerous snarky "twits" intended for entertainment purposes.
