I dismissed the sudsy new prime-time thriller “Revenge” ( 9 p.m. Wednesday, ABC; 3 stars ) when I watched its pilot over the summer, but I was too quick to judge. It's terrifically trashy and a lot of fun. Sweet Emily VanCamp from “Brothers and Sisters” plays against type as Emily Thorne, a young billionaire who moves to the Hamptons to get even with the rich folks who destroyed her father (James Tupper) and ruined her life - back when she was called Amanda. She rents a house next door to Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe)

The last time the Indiana Pacers were at the United Center, they were celebrating a 95-90 win over the Bulls. Too much celebrating, according to Derrick Rose. After the game he expressed his frustration. "I'll never forget how they celebrated just from winning this game," Rose said Jan. 25. "I can't wait to play them again. " Turns out, the way the Bulls played, it seems as if many of them didn't like that public display of celebration at the United Center as the Bulls rolled to a 92-72 win Monday night.

I first discovered Rob Schamberger on Twitter , around the time the Kansas City native was promoting his artwork and prepping for a trip to Wrestlemania 29. His work has featured the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson; Hulk Hogan; Randy Savage; Mae Young; and even 11th Doctor Matt Smith. His recent work includes a special mural image celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania, commisioned by the WWE. (See gallery above) Schamberger and I chatted via e-mail about his artwork; who inspires him; how his artistic process works; and what he'll be up to in Chicago while...

This shortened yet busier-than-ever NBA season has been grueling - and the Bulls have had the injuries to prove it. But the scheduling gods seem to have smiled on the Bulls in the final two weeks of the season. Starting with Sunday's game in Detroit, the Bulls face some of the worst squads the NBA has to offer. With the Bulls' projected starting five's limited games together - Sunday was their 13th--these cupcake matchups just might be what the team needs. The soft season-ending schedule does...

It's almost football season. No, not the NFL and college football, we mean soccer. The Chicago Fire released its MLS schedule Wednesday, and if we were you, we'd be circling the following dates: March 3 at Los Angeles: Nothing like starting the season against the two-time defending champs on their field. April 20 vs. Columbus: This is the only time the Fire play arguably their biggest rival. They've gotta make it count. Sept. 1 vs. Houston: Think the Fire will be looking for payback against the team that knocked them out of the 2012 playoffs?

** (out of four) Facing the camera, a woman in front of him on her knees, Dom Hemingway (Jude Law) stares ahead and asks, "Is my c**k exquisite?" An extended, single-take monologue about the wonder of this guy's genitalia follows. It's a hell of a way to start a movie and the beginning of the juiciest character Law ("Side Effects," "I Heart Huckabees") has had in a while. The question, then, is whether the actor's embrace of both Dom's hungry hedonism and contrived sentimentality is enough to compensate for feeling like "Dom...

"You can kiss my decision as it's walking out the door. " That line made me fall in love with Rayna Jaymes and with "Nashville" ( 9 p.m. Oct. 10, ABC; 4 stars out of 4 ), the country-tinged soap opry the character rules. How long Rayna's rule will last is at the heart of the series, the best of this fall's new shows. Rayna (Connie Britton) is country's reigning queen, but her hit-making days are going the way of her traditional brand of country music. Her latest record's not selling and her tour is flopping, so her record label wants...

Chicago just got pounded with a monster blizzard, and all of your friends are wearing sandals and prancing around in the Texas sunshine at SXSW for the next week. Awesome, right? Nah, it kind of blows. Confession: I'm one of those a-holes who will be soaking up the warmth at the music and tech festival for the next week, and, well ... sorry I'm not sorry about that. But here's the thing: I am kind of sorry you have to deal with a barrage of tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram photos reminding you how much fun you're missing out on while you're buried under a...

In horse-racing terms, HBO's new drama "Luck" breaks poorly. If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, get used to it. "Luck" ( 8 p.m. Jan. 29, HBO; 3 stars ) is a sometimes confusing yet fascinating study of the colorful characters - the jockeys, trainers, owners, gamblers and railbirds - who populate horse-racing tracks. You just may need a glossary of racing and gambling terms to understand it. (A railbird, by the way, is a fan who watches from the sideline rail.

Antony Starr worries that he's angered the producers of his Cinemax series "Banshee," or possibly the universe in general. "If I'm honest it has crossed my mind that possibly I've done wrong to someone, I've pissed them off in some way," the New Zealand native said during a recent phone chat, "because the guys that I'm fighting just seem to get bigger and bigger. And every day I do a fight sequence I come out of it battered and bruised. So, you know, it's payback for some transgression either in this or a past life.
