Real talk: I've been lame lately. The decision to defy my worsening health and party until I lost my voice for a solid three days in honor of my 25th combined with my annual “it's cold outside and I should start saving for the holidays anyway” attitude has led to more frequent BYOB trips, followed by bedtimes my grandmother would laugh at. The same cannot be said for my upstairs neighbors. While I've been busy spending quality time with Netflix Instant, they've been having quite a time of it. And they have no issues sharing.

His new full-length “Until the Quiet Comes” subscribes to a different definition of mash-up. No, you aren't going to hear Lil' Boosie over a Fall Out Boy song (if anyone actually is working on that, please send it my way soon) but you will experience a fusion of live instruments, bowel-rattling bass and overt jazz influences. * (out of four) Imagine if the “Paranormal Activity” films still featured loud noises and mysteriously falling pots and pans - only this time, they also included Marlon Wayans being raped by a ghost. Wouldn't that be hilarious? No, it would not. And “A Haunted House,” starring and co-written by Wayans, doesn't so much skewer the popular “Paranormal” franchise as clone it into a comedy in which farting and the word “asstraphobic” pass as jokes. Presented as unexplainable found footage from Oct....

Merry Christmas, Bears fans. It's over. For all you Cutler haters out there, now you know. He's the best we got, and we're nothing without him. Sorry D, it's true. Of course, this highlights another weakness: Jerry Angelo's stunning inability to evaluate offensive talent. Thanks for Caleb Hanie, Jerry. Reminds me of the year you stuck us with Jonathan Quinn and Craig Krenzel. No one scours the earth harder to find more duds at quarterback than this guy. Jerry, humor me. Donovan McNabb.

**1/2 (out of four) Celeste (co-writer Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) both put their fingertips on a tiny squeeze bottle of lip balm. They rub up and down and make sexual noises. After a little while, they squeeze the tube. You know what happens next. This is the epitome of an inside joke, the kind of thing that filters through the bloodstream of a relationship. These two still have no trouble laughing together. Yet for some reason the longtime sweethearts, who have been married for six years but separated six months ago, spend every day...

The audience at tonight's "Paranormal Activity 4" screening didn't tell me what scares them, but if their consistent screams were converted into words, they'd translate to, "Yes, the image of people levitating or being suddenly yanked out of bed still freaks me out!" Not me. What made "Paranormal Activity 3" such a step up from its two dull predecessors was that directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost (taking over for part 3 after helming "Catfish")

If you're an A-list megastar (Beyonce), your bio doc is aired on HBO. But if you're Ke$ha, you get MTV. The $-list pop star will send fans behind the scenes of her life in "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life," which kicks off in April. Shot over two years, the show "follows Ke$ha as she navigates the drama and madness of both her personal and professional live, traveling the globe and recording her 'Warrior' album," according to MTV. Never mind the fact that she obviously stole the title from the 2001 Kirsten Dunst movie -- what can Ke$ha learn from other celeb reality series?

Actually, 17-year-old Nell (Ashley Bell) barely remembers the events of 2010's hit “The Last Exorcism,” the surprisingly creepy thriller in which the professor from “Saved by the Bell: The College Years” played a priest aiming to expose exorcisms as hooey. He obviously learned his lesson, but in “The Last Exorcism Part II” - whose self-parodying title recalls nonsense like “Final Destination 5” - Nell only vaguely recalls her conflict with a demon named...

For nerds everywhere, it was a moment not unlike the Apollo moon landing or Kirk Gibson's World Series home run. A moment in which we later would ask: "Where were you when you heard the news?" My story? I was sitting at my desk when this announcement hit the Internet: Disney was buying Lucasfilm. And not just that - in addition to George Lucas' production company, Disney was buying the rights to properties such as the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises. Twitter was abuzz because buried within the news release was the promise that a new "Star Wars"...
