Not long after Rock 'n' Vote 2011, finalists appeared at the North Coast Music Festival (Pyro Fighter) and the Taste of Chicago (Yeah Dude, Briar Rabbit). And none of those local bands even won our annual contest. Think your local band deserves more exposure too? Great; for the ninth year running, we're putting on a show to help showcase Chicago bands our readers should know about. You can be an all-female rap trio, five dudes who play guitars and keyboards without a drummer, and anything in between.

It's been awhile since anyone in Chicago has had a reason to dance in the Bears' end zone, but on June 5 USA Network will be checking out your moves as part of the "Necessary Roughness" Show Us Your End Zone Dance Competition. Participants must perform their best end zone dance moves for a chance to win $25,000. The six finalists chosen by USA Network's judges will have their end-zone dances featured in a promo spot airing on USA in July, and one winner will dance away with a grand prize of $25,000.

Suburban Mediterranean eatery Naf Naf Grill plans to add a fourth location downtown this September to will cater to the Loop lunch crowd with additional grab-and-go items. Naf Naf, which has locations in Naperville, Aurora and Niles, is currently renovating its new space at 309 W. Washington St., previously inhabited by Billy Goat Tavern. When sports teams suffer postseason defeats, the pre-printed merchandise celebrating their would-be championships is often shipped off to impoverished countries. That means there's still a Bears 2007 Super Bowl champions hat floating around out there that would have gone on Rex Grossman's stupid head. In the case of losing presidential merchandise, however, the results aren't always so kind. The Postcard Factory, which produced election swag for both candidates, destroys whatever is left from the losing side.
