Sure, floor tickets to see Mr. Carter and Mr. West at the United Center might be a staggering $250, but that's the price if you're looking to get a taste of the rap mogul lifestyle. After all, many of the goods mentioned on "Watch the Throne" have a pretty exorbitant price tag. Check it. Lyric: "What's that jacket, Margiela?" Song: "N****s in Paris" If you want to look the part while you're rapping along with Kanye, it'll $2,090 to pick up a nice leather bomber jacket from the Belgian designer.

As an entertainer, I can tell you no artist likes to be censored or have his or her lyrics dissected. It blows! Freedom of speech is something we creative folks value, but the same rights that let artists say what we want are the ones that can land us in a world of trouble. In rapper Rick Ross' feature verse on "U.O.E.N.O," a mixtape song by artist Rocko, Rozay shocked rap lovers everywhere by getting all date-rapey. The lines "Put molly all in her champagne / She ain't even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain't even know it" pissed people off and caused a lot of backlash.

Did you think guesting on a Limp Bizkit song was the biggest thing Lil Wayne would do this week? Hah! Weezy dropped "I Am Not A Human Being II" on Tuesday, his second release in six months. We carefully weeded through the lyrics on "I Am Not a Human Being II" (seriously, so few of them are printable in a family publication), to give you this challenge: Lil Wayne lyric or Craigslist personal ad excerpt. The results may have some of these dudes searching for a record deal. damoran@tribune.com | @redeyedana 1 -- "I've had to put them across my lap. I've had to bail them out a few times...

Are you ready, world? It's time for Taylor Swift to go from girl to woman -- or at least that's what her latest album would have us believe. The cover of "Red," released Monday, shows a more mature Tay -- but have her lyrics grown up, too? See if you can determine which of these are her own lines, and which were mined from recent Craigslist missed connections postings. (Note to dudes: If you're the one featured in these missed connections, email the lady back already!) 1 -- "You make my heart sing Kate Bush songs.

It's the story of tenor meets racetrack … Jim Cornelison, the man best known for singing his brains out while Blackhawks fans wildly applaud at the start of every home game, will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the start of the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola on Sept. 14 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet. Cornelison gained household recognition after using his pipes to belt the Blackhawks all the way to the Stanley Cup in 2010. The world-class tenor first came to Chicago in 1995 at the request of the Lyric...

Well, it's here. The moment where a pop tween sensation makes the transition from innocent crooning about love, basketball, and being fly (all the while alluding to the heavy petting that'll take place after the Homecoming pep rally) to macho "I'm confident and totally going to light some candles so you get that I'm mature" gesturing. Our little boy Bieber has grown up.  In Boyfriend , the teen idol's new single out Monday on iTunes that dropped Sunday night, the now-18 year old Bieber has cast off any notion of trying...

Just a few hours after Lollapalooza three-day passes went on sale (and sold out in less than 20 minutes), reports of ads on the Red and Blue Line hinting at headliners for the 2012 fest started trickling in. Listen to our Spotify playlist of all of the rumored and expected artists on the 2012 Lolla lineup. **1/2 (out of 4) The xx make music for pretty much one context: the late night walk or train ride home, ideally taken in some state of melancholy. If you have a great pair of headphones for those late night treks, you're in good shape. If you just went through a breakup, you're really in luck. Much like the band's 2009 debut, the English outfit's second album “Coexist” mines the minimal sound of simple, quietly delivered guitar lines, pairing these with a drum machine and back-and-forth vocal exchanges to explore the delicate emotional territory of...

*** (out of 4) During the middle of Jay-Z's verse on "3 Kings" last year, he had a bar where he just sneered, sniffed, sniveled. That's all it was: "King H-O, y'all should know by now/ and if you don't, uh-- *sniff*. " It was the best part of the song, and today's "Open Letter" embodies that line, only in an entire song. It's both a direct response to the recent controversies surrounding Hov (the illegal-but-actually-legal vacation to Cuba, people clowning on his share of the Nets, his friendship with Obama)
