At some Chicago restaurants, it's often love at first bite - among the workers, anyway. Timothy O'Tooles on the Gold Coast boasts four employee couples and two married couples. An assistant general manager and a former waitress are expected to marry in September, according to the restaurant's publicist. MK, a Near North Side restaurant, has served as matchmaker for 12 employees who met there and later married. One couple - a sous chef and office manager - are currently engaged, a publicist for the restaurant said.

In the political drama "The Reluctant Fundamentalist," Changez (Riz Ahmed) transitions from a financial hotshot in 2001 New York to a man suspected of being a terrorist in 2011 Lahore, Pakistan. Kate Hudson plays Erica, an artist who offers Changez a (romantic) respite from an America that continually closes in around him. On the surface, Hudson ("Bride Wars"), 34, and actor/rapper Ahmed ("Four Lions"), 30, might not seem to have much in common. Yet part of the point of "Fundamentalist" is the importance of looking beyond surface appearances.

*** (out of four) Before heading into the first grade class she teaches, Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) takes a sip from the flask in her car. Then another. Eh, the kids'll never notice. Actually, they do, because she vomits in the middle of a lesson, which turns into a lie that she's pregnant, which eventually turns into her principal (Megan Mullally) throwing a surprise baby shower. Even when a bottle's not in her hands, Kate ain't holding any control. An effectively direct story about different ways to feel powerless, “Smashed” features a best-yet performance...

The odds of predicting a perfect March Madness bracket (excluding the play-in games, because screw the play-in games) is approximately 1 in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808. Websites now routinely offer $1 million to anyone who pulls off that perfecto, knowing full well there are better odds that you - yes, you - could ever date Kate Upton. The odds of picking a perfect bracket from this point on, however, are a totally doable 1 in 32,768 - approximately the odds of you sleeping with Ke$ha.

Zero stars (out of four) The examination of class in “Answers to Nothing” consists of Ryan (Dane Cook) briefly looking at a homeless person. The examination of race boils down to an African-American woman (Kali Hawk), who says she hates black people, deciding to look on the bright side. As for the discussion of infidelity, there isn't one. Ryan simply cheats on his wife Kate (Elizabeth Mitchell) - he's so sleazy he tells the romantic story of his grandparents' love while receiving oral sex from his mistress Tara (Aja Volkman)

"Ben & Kate" ( 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Fox; 3 stars out of 4 ) will live or die by how much viewers love, or hate, Nat Faxon's exuberant portrayal of Ben Fox. Faxon (Oscar-winning screenwriter, with "Community" star Jim Rash, of "The Descendants") spins like a top as Ben, the man-boy of a brother to more mature, but younger Kate (Dakota Johnson, daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith), who has put her love life on hold while raising her 5-year-old daughter Maddie (Maggie Jones from "We Bought a Zoo")

How's this for a little genre cross-pollinating: Katee Sackhoff of "Battlestar Galactica" fame is guest-voicing a character in the latest episode of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars. " Sackhoff voices the armored warrior Bo-Katan in "A Friend In Need," premiering at 7 p.m. Jan. 13 on Cartoon Network. "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau will voice the warlord Pre Vizsla. They are part of the Death Watch, which has been absent since their attempt to take over Mandalore in Season 2. Now they're stronger and far more dangerous.

The world often feels like a hate-filled and contentious place to call home. Abroad, we see terrorist attacks, riots, vitriolic reactions to vitriolic speech, murder in reaction to bigotry while at home we are in the midst of a bitter election season fueled by an orgy of money and cross-talking spite. Amidst all this contempt and disagreement, can we, at the very least, all get together and as one people, one nation of humanity, one unbroken chain of human voices, agree that Kate Middleton just looks fantastic topless?

Kate Bornstein gleefully describes herself as queer and truly is quite pleasant, but a danger? Not likely, unless you're a Scientologist, transphobic, fussy or offended by brutally honest sex talk. OK, so there are certainly some people who might consider her dangerous. Her books - including her new memoir "A Queer and Pleasant Danger" - and her statements that she feels like neither fully man nor fully woman have won her fans and criticisms alike.
