Big changes are afoot for the roomies on Fox's "New Girl" in the Season 1 finale. When the hit sitcom premiered last fall, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moved in with the boys--Nick (Jake Johnson), Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield). But in the season finale, "See Ya," airing at 8 p.m. May 8, they all deal with the possibility of Nick moving out to shack up with his ex, Caroline (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). Say it isn't so, Nick! As Nick prepares for the move, his roomies interview candidates to replace him before Nick decides to take them all out to the desert where each one of...

The Chicago International Film Festival Television Awards will honor the "Chicago Fire" star with its 2014 Artistic Achievement Award during an April 10 ceremony at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. Australian native Spencer currently plays Lt. Matthew Casey in the Chicago-filmed NBC series, but made his American TV debut as Dr. Robert Chase in the Fox series "House. So you've met a hot guy, and he looks exactly like "True Blood"star Ryan Kwanten, but he's lame as hell. Would you put a bag over any conversation and do your business, or kick him to the curb? That's the quandary Jess (Zooey Deschanel) faces in the "Valentine's Day" episode of Fox's"New Girl," airing at 8 p.m. Feb. 14. Kwanten guest stars as Oliver, a hot guy Jess meets when her roomies take her out on Valentine's Day. But as you can see from the video clips in the player above, Oliver is pretty ... boring.

For many of us, the experience of feeling like an outcast, or being bullied, was all too common in our youth. A recent study by The Center for Disease Control states that nearly 30 percent - an estimated 13 million- of school aged students have experienced bullying in their lives. Worse yet, 64 percent of those being bullied did not report it.  It's a problem that schools and communities struggle with every day and with no easy answers . But that doesn't stop an artist like Jess Godwin from trying to help victims of bullying through her love of music.

With each episode of the Fox comedy "New Girl," we've gotten to know Jess and her roomies Nick and Schmidt pretty well. But we haven't learned a lot about Winston. He played basketball in Europe. He seems to be the most even-keeled of the group. He doesn't have a job, and isn't sure of what job he wants or can get. But in "Bells," airing at 8 p.m. Nov. 29, we'll see Winston's dark side, teases Chicago native Lamorne Morris.  (He's such a Tunkel.) "First of all, Winston is extremely good at whatever he does," Morris told me during a Thanksgiving week interview at...

It can't be easy for an actor to step into a guest-starring role on a TV show, mixing it up with a cast that's been working together for weeks or even months. That wasn't an issue with Justin Long, who reprises his role of Paul Gunslinger on the Fox comedy "New Girl" in "Bad in Bed," airing at 8 p.m. Dec. 6. "The thing about Justin; we love him to death," cast member Lamorne Morris told me. "He came in and he brought that new energy to the set; it was absolutely incredible. " Chicago native Morris plays Winston, who lives with Nick (Jake Johnson)

"New Girl" star Jake Johnson wouldn't object if romance bloomed between his character, Nick, and Zooey Deschanel's adorkable Jess in the hit Fox comedy. "If I happen to have a day of work lying in bed with Zooey Deschanel," he told RedEye during a stop in Chicago recently, "I mean, it is for work, and I'm a married man, but that's not a bad way to get paid for a day job. Just sayin'. " Johnson isn't the only person who would be OK with the pairing. The 32-year old Evanston native gets stopped on the street by fans insisting he break the seemingly...

Jesse Metcalfe was born in 1978, the year "Dallas" debuted, so obviously he didn't watch the show during its original run. Now 33, he's starring in TNT's continuation of the iconic series as Christopher Ewing, the adopted son of Bobby (Patrick Duffy). While Metcalfe is best known as the sexy gardener who slept with Eva Longoria in "Desperate Housewives," he's playing a more honorable sort in "Dallas," which premieres at 8 p.m. June 13. Metcalfe and I talked recently about original cast members Duffy, Larry Hagman and Linda Gray, his initial...

**1/2 (out of four) Celeste (co-writer Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) both put their fingertips on a tiny squeeze bottle of lip balm. They rub up and down and make sexual noises. After a little while, they squeeze the tube. You know what happens next. This is the epitome of an inside joke, the kind of thing that filters through the bloodstream of a relationship. These two still have no trouble laughing together. Yet for some reason the longtime sweethearts, who have been married for six years but separated six months ago, spend every day...

Before he began playing John Wilkes Booth in "Killing Lincoln," Jesse Johnson celebrated a private triumph: He grew a jumbo mustache for the role. "I'm very proud of it, by the way," the 30-year-old actor told me Thursday by phone from New York. "I wasn't aware I was capable of growing such robust facial hair. But now that I know, I feel more of a man. " Johnson stars as Abraham Lincoln's assassin in the National Geographic Channel film that premieres at 7 p.m. CT Feb. 17, with Billy Campbell as the 16th president and Tom Hanks narrating the documentary...

Women break down in romantic comedies all the time. They just rarely do so to the point of looking unattractive, says Rashida Jones. “She always looks good, her hair looks good and her apartment's pretty. It's like, there's things strewn on her couch and she's sniffling a little bit,” says the 36-year-old star and co-writer of the breakup tale “Celeste and Jesse Forever.” “We wanted to go way past that. The un-showered, un-tethered, stoner drunk mess that I have been at times in my life, and I think other women have been.” ...
