"Game of Thrones"star Richard Madden told me Thursday that he and Jenna-Louise Coleman, who was recently named the new companion on "Doctor Who," are indeed dating. The couple had been spotted in New York earlier this month, and he accompanied her to the London premiere of "Titanic 3D," but you just never know until you ask. With that bit of info confirmed, I snuck in one last question, asking Madden if his romantic connection might mean a guest-starring role on a future episode of "Doctor Who. " "Maybe!"

Mark Gatiss was not just responsible for bringing back classic "Doctor Who" foes the Ice Warriors this season. He also convinced Dame Diana Rigg and her daughter, Rachael Stirling, to guest star. Gatiss penned "The Crimson Horror," his second episode of the season (after the Ice Warrior-riffic "Cold War") that airs at 7 p.m. CT May 4 on BBC America. Gatiss was working on a play with Sterling while writing the episode, said "Who" showrunner Steven Moffat, who also works with Gatiss on "Sherlock.

The Doctor and Clara Oswald obviously spend a lot of time in TARDIS as they fly through space in "Doctor Who. " Viewers, however, have had only glimpses of them aboard the time-traveling blue police box that's bigger on the inside. Until Saturday, when "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS" debuts on BBC America. Written by Stephen Thompson ("Sherlock") and directed by Mat King ("Law & Order: UK"), "Journey" opens on a spacecraft carrying the three-member salvage team of Gregor (Ashley Walters)

They're getting closer and closer ... the Snowmen, that is. BBC America late Monday released an image of the monsters Doctor Who will face in the 2012 Christmas special, called, not too coincidentally, "The Snowmen. " The network also released a poster for the special, which will debut 8 p.m. CT Dec. 25. "The Snowmen" stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and introduces Jenna-Louise Coleman as his new companion, Clara. They embark on a mission to save Christmas from the villainous Doctor Simeon (Richard E Grant)

Doctor Who gets a kiss from his new companion in the latest trailer for this year's Christmas special, titled "The Snowmen. " Clara, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman, and the Doctor (Matt Smith) set off on their first adventure together as they attempt to save Christmas from Doctor Simeon and his army of scary snowmen. It isn't clear if Clara is somehow related to Oswin, Coleman's character in the "Asylum of the Daleks" episode, but I have a sneaking suspicion she is. "She is from the Victorian era and a mysterious one," Coleman...

BBC America has released the first image of Matt Smith in the 2012 "Doctor Who" Christmas special, set to air t 8 p.m. CT Dec. 25. The holiday special was written by lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat and co-stars Jenna-Louise Coleman as Oswin, the Doctor's new companion we saw earlier this season in "Asylum of the Daleks. " And since it wouldn't be Christmas without some homo-reptilians, the Doctor and presumably Oswin will cross paths with Silurians Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh)

"Submarine. Lots of soldiers and Ice Warriors. " That's how "Doctor Who" star Jenna-Louise Coleman summed up "Cold War" episode. In the episode debuting at 7 p.m. CT April 13 on BBC America, the Doctor (Matt Smith) and Clara (Coleman) land the TARDIS in 1983 and inside a Russian nuclear submarine whose captain (played by "Games of Thrones" actor Liam Cunningham) is already dealing with another surprise guest--an Ice Warrior. Fans haven't seen the classic "Doctor Who" foes that first appeard in 1967 to fight Patrick Troughton's Second Doctor since the...

"Doctor Who" tells a good, old-fashioned ghost story this weekend. "We are in a haunted house in the '70s with Dougray Scott and Jessica Raine," Jenna-Louise Coleman told me, then whispered. "And it's scaaary. " In "Hide," airing at 7 p.m. CT April 20 on BBC America, Clara (Coleman) and the Doctor (Matt Smith) pop up in 1974 outside a remote mansion called Caliburn House where paranormal researcher Alec Palmer (Scott) and psychic Emma Grayling (Raine) are trying to contact a ghost called the Witch of the Well that has appeared throughout the history of the building.

When "Doctor Who" next steps out of his time- and space-traveling police box, the TARDIS, he'll meet his new companion, Clara Oswald. He's not going to know what to think of her. That's because Clara, or 26-year-old Jenna-Louise Coleman actually, has appeared in the series twice before. In last fall's "The Asylum of the Daleks" episode, she was the futuristic, souffle-making Oswin, who was transformed into a Dalek. In the "Doctor Who" Christmas special, "The Snowmen," she was 18th century governess Clara Oswin Oswald, who the Doctor...
