It might seem like the new "Star Wars" movies are far, far away, but 2015 is right around the corner. And casting rumors abound! First of all, if we see any Jar Jar Binks in the new "Star Wars" sequels, we're walking out of the theater immediately. But secondly, the Latino Review is reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron and Ryan Gosling all have tried out for roles in the flick. Really? Them? Aside from being far too famous, we're not sure these guys have what it takes to fight the spawn of Jabba*.

With production of a new series of Star Wars movies now underway, interest in collectibles and memorabilia from the classic films is on the rise. And with the announcement that the cast from the Original Trilogy would be returning for Episode VII, the demand for items featuring the likes of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher has also spiked. That's why auction events like PROFILES IN HISTORY'S 'DEBBIE REYNOLDS - THE AUCTION FINALE' is sure to attract attention from some of the most ardent Star Wars collectors.

In last week's exciting "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," Ahsoka Tano narrowly escaped capture after being set up for the murders of several clones. Adam Driver is going from "Girls" to a galaxy far, far away as a cast member for "Star Wars: Episode VII. " After tons of speculation, Lucasfilm and Disney announced Tuesday the cast for the upcoming "Star Wars" film, but not what characters the actors will play. Expect zero plot details to be revealed as well. Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga--Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker--in the new film.

The Force will be with Netflix users in March. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" fans can binge on the unaired sixth and final season of the animated series when it premieres on the streaming service March 7, Lucasfilm and Disney announced Thursday. " Don't flee just yet: The series' most memorable villains are behind bars in "Deception," airing at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 on Cartoon Network. When the Jedi learn of a Separatist plot to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine, one of them must go deep undercover as a hardened criminal to extract information from the conspirators. Disney and Lucasfilm have introduced a hero who embodies the "rebel" part of "Star Wars Rebels. " Kanan, who is voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr., isn't the traditional Jedi knight fans have come to expect in the "Star Wars" universe. A survivor of the Emperor's Jedi purge, Kanan hides his lightsaber for fear of revealing his true identity. He uses a blaster instead. "I like to call Kanan 'the cowboy Jedi,'" says executive producer Dave Filoni. "He's a gunslinger that needs to put the gun away and pick up the sword again, and fight for noble causes and selfless causes.

WEEK 5 of the Survivor Fantasy Football League saw fortunes continue to change; Week 4 had Soxman - Chicago's #1 White Sox fan - tumble in the standings after his high-powered lineup fizzled out. Meanwhile, Chicago's King of Geeks - yours truly - rallied into a tie for the division lead.  Now, as bitter rivals go into Week 6, Soxman bemoans his fantasy team choking worse than his beloved Sox did in 2012.
