Eight Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Chicago area plan to give away free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches to guests from 4 to 8 p.m. May 21, according to a news release. At the Loyola Water Tower campus location, guests will be required to present a voucher to receive their sandwich between 4 and 6 p.m. Vouchers will be passed out during the week of May 13. At the other seven locations, however, no vouchers are required, and sandwiches will be given away between 4 and 8 p.m. Chick-fil-A in Lombard 717 E. Butterfield Road Lombard, IL 60148 (630)

There will be a lot of geeky events going on this coming weekend, including Flashback Weekend which will be returning to Rosemont, IL! I'll be roaming the halls of the Crowne Plaza myself, and taking in the sights of horror movie fandom in action. If you've never heard of FBW before, you really do need to check it out. They've got the legendary George Romero ("Night of the Living Dead") making a very rare convention appearance. (Be sure to check back for my interview with Mr. Romero.)

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? More like, try again, copycats. A controversial new ad campaign from the Benetton group was making the rounds online this week. It's on par with the fashion house's past attempts at using their ads to communicate a wider, more "wordly" message, and it is certainly hard to miss. Sacha Baron Cohen crashed the Oscars red carpet Sunday as "The Dictator," dumping the "ashes" of late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il on Ryan Seacrest and the red carpet. Dressed as Admiral General Aladeen, "The Dictator" from his upcoming movie, he was accompanied by two women in "army" uniforms and red berets. He carried the ashes in a cremation urn with an image of Kim Jong-il on the outside. Baron Cohen stepped over to talk to E! red-carpet host Seacrest, he threw the ashes all over Seacrest's tux.
