The Chicago culinary scene is bigger in Texas. At least five Chicago cheftestants have been awarded the coveted “Top Chef: Texas” jacket in the latest season of the show, which premiered Wednesday night. The final slate of 16 cheftestants, which may include a sixth Chicago chef, likely will be revealed next week. In Wednesday's episode, some of the chefs worked with pig and rabbit to create their dishes. Yawn. It seems “Top Chef” has fallen into the “Project Runway” trap of repeating lame ideas for challenges.

Condoms: they are not perfect. A condom's job is basically to be there without seeming like it's there. It's the most important thing in your sexual life, in a way, and you never want to actually have to acknowledge it exists in the moment. Condoms are the character actors of the sex world, doing great work, never getting the love and credit they deserve. Condoms are John C. Reilly. But guess what! Bill Gates, Rich Person, has decided to donate lots of money toward making condoms better, because even the best ones kinda suck.

What's everyone up to in the morning? Hannah's brushing her teeth, Shosh and Ray are talking in bed about pig bathing, Marnie's on a crappy job interview and Jessa may not recognize that mornings exist. Things get infinitely more ridiculous from there. Season 2, Episode 2 “Hannah's unnerved by Adam's creepy dirges that he posted on the Web, but is miffed by Sandy's critique of her essay. I just started seeing this really fantastic girl. She's fun, smart, ambitious. It's too soon for us to be really serious, but I do like her a lot. Just one problem: She's my roommate. We're both 21, live in a house with three other people, and there's a strict 'no couples' rule when we seek roommates. Like I said, we really like each other but it's only been a few weeks, and I don't think either one of us is up for making life changes for the relationship at this point, but we both want to see where it goes.

Charles Manson has been behind bars since 1971. But even now, at 79, America's favorite psychopath slash environmentalist has apparently still got it - he's engaged to a 25-year-old woman.
