You just can't keep Helen Magnus from a goal once she sets her mind to it. No on knows that better than Will Zimmerman. In the Nov. 18 episode, "Icebreaker," Helen (Amanda Tapping) flies with Will (Robin Dunne) into a snowy, stormy area of the Bering Sea where Henry (Ryan Robbins), Declan (Robert Lawrenson) and his team from the UK Sanctuary are stranded on a shipwrecked icebreaker. "Icebreaker," written and directed by Martin Wood, looks like one of those classic, trapped-in-a-tight-space "Sanctuary" adventures.

"Sanctuary" fans have heard a lot about the upcoming musical episode. Here's an exclusive first-look clip from "Fugue," which debuts at 9 p.m. Nov. 25 on Syfy. In the episode, written and directed by Damian Kindler, an abnormal attacks FBI agent/Will squeeze Abby (Pascale Hutton). An old frenemy returns to the "Sanctuary" in "Chimera," and I'm not talking about Nikola Tesla. Yes, everyone's favorite snarky vampire (played by Jonathon Young) is back in the episode, which airs on a special night--at 9 p.m. Nov. 29 on Syfy. He and Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) undertake a dangerous mission when the Sanctuary computers are attacked. Henry (Ryan Robbins) discovers the problem, but the only way to remedy it is to hook up to the computer. Magnus and Tesla volunteer, and are transported to a virtual Sanctuary, where they encounter the friend/foe whom shall...

Insurgents from Hollow Earth resurface in the next episode of "Sanctuary," resulting in a happy reunion and an unexpected betrayal. Kate Freelander is back on Earth, instead of inside it. (The best part of that news, however, is that Agam Darshi is back on "Sanctuary. " I've missed her these past few episodes.) In the sneak peek for "Acolyte," airing at 9 p.m. Dec. 9 on Syfy, Kate and Will (Robin Dunne) interrogate an abnormal who is part of the Hollow Earth team plotting an above-ground attack.

I don't know about you, but my friends won't leave me alone about Halloween plans. Are we going to a bar? Is anyone having a house party? What should we do? I'll tell you what - let's weigh the pros in cons in four important categories. May the best party style win!   Cost Bar: I've seen drink packages in the $45 range. Are you crazy? Navigating through a bunch of drunk people dressed as Raggedy Ann to get a beer means you probably won't be getting your money's worth.

It's an undeniable fact that technology continues to change the way we live. In this day and age, we are definitely interacting with one another in very new ways. But fellas, in the case of pursuing a young lady, new doesn't always mean better. In short, stop asking for social media contacts when you first meet women! On a recent weekend, I overheard several inquiries from guys directed at women to the effect of, "Hey, are you on Instagram?" or "I'll find you on Facebook. " Don't get me wrong - I understand the convenience of the situation.

When Andrew Johnson's in need of an icebreaker when he's out at his favorite River North bars, his job comes in handy. “The title of LEGO Master Model Builder is not something you hear very often, so it's always easy to start a conversation,” Johnson said. Impressing the opposite sex, though, is only one of the many perks Johnson enjoys since landing the coveted gig of Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago last year. While the Bartlett native's roommate reports to his logistics job downtown...

You've heard what happened by now, and you've seen the tweet. No need to recount the "story," right? Right. (Ah, OK, here's a link if you really need it.) Let's get one thing straight: The tweet was bad. Really, really bad. Nobody is defending her offensive remark, not even Sacco, a public relations professional, herself. And while there's no defense for it, I can't help but feel incredibly uncomfortable with the way we, the Internet, responded to it. It's a shining example of how 2013 seemed to be the year of the Social Media Police, this elite force of Internet crusaders...
