*** (out of four) Fortunately, “A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas” consists of more than just Santa holding a bong. Though it has that too. Cheerfully honest about the absurdity of its 3D and the gratuitousness of its nudity (cue the hot nuns in the shower and topless angels in heaven), the film's funny and playful--but only for viewers who'd attach those words to a beer pong showdown with underage kids and a breakfast-assistant toy called the Wafflebot that falls in love with Kumar.

***1/2 (out of four) Let's get the obvious out of the way: > > Tara Reid probably didn't have to clear her schedule to return to the “American Pie” franchise. > > “American Pie 2” stunk, and “American Wedding” wasn't much better. > > Perhaps no one would care if they never saw the Shermanator again. Here's the whopping surprise: “American Reunion” wraps up the series fittingly and funnily. You know that affliction that most comedies have, where they stop being hilarious with about 25 minutes left?
