You just can't keep Helen Magnus from a goal once she sets her mind to it. No on knows that better than Will Zimmerman. In the Nov. 18 episode, "Icebreaker," Helen (Amanda Tapping) flies with Will (Robin Dunne) into a snowy, stormy area of the Bering Sea where Henry (Ryan Robbins), Declan (Robert Lawrenson) and his team from the UK Sanctuary are stranded on a shipwrecked icebreaker. "Icebreaker," written and directed by Martin Wood, looks like one of those classic, trapped-in-a-tight-space "Sanctuary" adventures.

Syfy has canceled"Sanctuary" after four seasons, the network confirmed Monday, ending months of speculation and smashing fans' hopes for a fifth season. The series, about a team led by semi-immortal scientest Helen Magnus that protects and/or captures the world's abnormals--those beings that hunt or are hunted by humans--starred Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne, Ryan Robbins, and Christopher Heyerdahl. It completed its fourth season last fall. Tapping said on Twitter Monday: "To all the fans of @SanctuarySeries we love and adore you. Thank you for the love and support.

Amanda Tapping kissed, and now she's finally telling. Earlier this week I chatted by phone with the "Sanctuary" star and producer about the upcoming two-part Season 4 finale, but before we talked about "Sanctuary for None," I just had to ask about "Monsoon," the season's fourth episode. And that controversial kiss between her character, Dr. Helen Magnus, and the very attractive scientist Charlotte Benoit (Sandrine Holt). "I just thought it was a nice kiss … I don't think we were trying to push any buttons particularly,” Tapping said from Vancouver on Tuesday.

“You will know everything when the time is right.” That's what Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) told her No. 2 man, Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), throughout Season 4 of “Sanctuary,” ( spoilers ahead! ) refusing to tell him the plan she had set in motion while trapped in the past. As we saw in the two-part season finale, “Sanctuary for None,” her secrets nearly destroyed the sanctuary and their relationship. Wait, it did destroy the sanctuary, but she meant to do that.

An old frenemy returns to the "Sanctuary" in "Chimera," and I'm not talking about Nikola Tesla. Yes, everyone's favorite snarky vampire (played by Jonathon Young) is back in the episode, which airs on a special night--at 9 p.m. Nov. 29 on Syfy. He and Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) undertake a dangerous mission when the Sanctuary computers are attacked. Henry (Ryan Robbins) discovers the problem, but the only way to remedy it is to hook up to the computer. Magnus and Tesla volunteer, and are transported to a virtual Sanctuary, where they encounter...

If you thought Helen Magnus made a shocking play in the first part of the "Sanctuary" Season 4 finale, wait until you see what show does in "Sanctuary for None: Part 2," airing at 9 p.m. Dec. 30 on Syfy. Star and producer Amanda Tapping said Magnus's latest surprise play is the "final reckoning" for the Sanctuary team. If you're caught up with events, Will (Robin Dunne) currently is being forced to work with SCIU director Greg Addison (Brian Markinson) while Bigfoot (Christopher Heyerdahl)

Being Dr. Helen Magnus' right-hand man isn't really good for your love life. Just ask Will Zimmerman, who takes another hit for the team in "Fugue," the much-anticipated musical episode of "Sanctuary" airing at 9 p.m. Nov. 25 on Syfy. As you can see in the video sneak above - and the exclusive sneak peek I showed last week - Will's love, FBI agent Abby Corigan (Pascale Hutton), has come under the control of an abnormal who understands only musical frequencies. In this scene, Helen (Amanda Tapping)

When Amanda Tapping saw the final mix for the Season 4 finale of "Sanctuary," she cried. "I wept and then I punched Damian [Kindler] in the arm and said, 'Why did you do that?'" Tapping told me Tuesday during a phone chat from Vancouver. The finale, "Sanctuary for None," will air in two hour-long parts at 9 p.m. Dec. 23 and 30 on Syfy. Written by James Thorpe and directed by Damian Kindler, the first part has Helen Magnus (Tapping) teaming with Hollow Earth rebel leader Caleb (guest star Gil Bellows)
