NBC released its midseason schedule for 2012, and missing from it are "Community" and "Prime Suspect. " Both ratings-starved but critically praised series have been pulled from the schedule. A spokesman from NBC has told me that "Prime Suspect" "is still under consideration but nothing definitive has been decided. " It's doubtful the show will be picked up for the rest of the season, despite the fact it's getting better each week. NBC will likely air the initial 13 episodes and then say good-bye.

NBC announced its 2012-13 primetime schedule Sunday that capitalizes on the popularity of "The Voice" by launching a new fall edition of the singing competition series. The network also plans to add six new scripted series in the fall and four at mid-season, banking on comedy this fall by adding comedies to Tuesday and Friday nights. The season's new fall comedies are "Go On," "The New Normal," "Animal Practice" and "Guys with Kids. " Other mid-season comedies include "Save Me," "1600 Penn" and "Next Caller.
