** (out of four) I'll start this by admitting upfront that I'm not Rihanna's target audience. Hell, If we're being completely transparent, I'm the guy trying to sleep with Rihanna's target audience. Now that I've gotten that out of the way: This album is a Frankenstein monster of "I am in charge of my sexuality and you can't do anything about it" chest-thumps (the title track)  and "For the love of God, will you just do me already?" songs ("Birthday Cake" "Cockiness (Love It)"

* (out of four) Hokum of monumental proportions is still hokum. Watch the 6-minute “Cloud Atlas” trailer about 30 times and you'll have an idea of what it's like to sit through this epic disaster, which never bores but never rewards attention either. Pacing the nearly three-hour film as if it were a teaser for itself, Chicago-native writers/directors Andy and Lana Wachowski (“The Matrix”) and German filmmaker Tom Tykwer (“Run Lola Run”) don't deliver a single powerful sequence or profound moment.
