It's here! The biggest concert to hit Chicago since, well, the last time Jay-Z was in town rocked the United Center on Wednesday (with another to come Thursday!). Because moments like these are rare - how often do we get to watch the world's two greatest rappers share a stage? - I've documented the the show for your reading pleasure. 7:20 p.m. The dress code tonight is "dress to impress or don't even try. " A surprising number of women have accepted the "look as classy as you can wearing super-high heels and lingerie" challenge--and there aren't many complaints from...

Forget business attire. Ditch the cubicle. Get paid more than minimum wage. Sound appealing? This job allows shorts in its dress code, comes with a lakefront view and pays $13.38 an hour. But applicants have to be physically fit and know how to administer first aid and CPR because lifeguards have to be ready at a moment's notice to run into the lake and help somebody. The Chicago Park District is looking for 800 summer lifeguards to man the city's beaches and pools from June 13 through Sept.

The setup: The non-prescription glasses craze has reached a fever pitch throughout the NBA playoffs. Even LeBron James, who's jumped headfirst into the trend, says it's gotten "out of control. " We tapped RedEye's fashion conscience to see if this fad still has legs. This round: Fashion-only eyeglasses: Cool or lame?   LAME This fashion faux pas needs to end. Who wears glasses just to wear frames other than to role-play, really? Some people who need eyeglasses to see don't like wearing them and opt for contacts or...

Unless you have a dinner date with a mash-up of Adam Levine's body and James Franco's face, there's no reason not to spend Feb. 14 binge-watching Netflix's second season of "House of Cards. " I'm surprised people even need reminding that Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), a medium sausage pizza and a bottle of Trader Joe's wine is the most romantic love triangle imaginable. For the skeptics, though, my Top 10 reasons to stay in with "House of Cards" this Valentine's Day: 1. No dress code required Yes, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright)

Forget the velvet rope - and you're not going to see a bouncer at some of Chicago's most exclusive clubs. Take the Metropolitan Club in Willis Tower, for example. The club, which bills itself as the "most inclusive place for Chicago leaders to gather" and boasts wine tastings and celebrity chef dinners (a sapphire necklace was given away as a prize at a recent dinner), is invitation-only. You can't get in without a recommendation from another member. Consider the process at University Club of Chicago more rigorous.

Review: Grace 652 W. Randolph St. 312-234-9494 Rating:  !!! 1/2 (out of 4) Heating up Some chefs spend their careers working in the upper echelon of fine-dining restaurants, only to throw their hands up and open a burger joint. Curtis Duffy is not one of those chefs. After working at Charlie Trotter's, serving as Grant Achatz's chef de cuisine at Alinea and then garnering awards at The Peninsula Hotel's restaurant, Avenues, Duffy was ready to open his own place.

Julie Ciaramella caught a cold in the middle of summer and dragged herself into work. Her boss told her she looked miserable and said she should go home and get better. Her response: "But I still have work to do. " That's because Ciaramella, 27, a social media manager who lives in Lincoln Square, has a tough-it-out attitude like the 80 percent of office workers in a recent Staples poll who admit to coming to work even when they know they are sick. That's 20 percent more than the last time the annual flu-season survey was taken a year prior.
