I've also been giving my own, and to this point haven't missed a pick. Finfer's record is blemished only by a Clone Wars related match-up in the first round. Now we're going to bring this baby in by giving our predictions for the...

Disney XD and Lucasfilm have released two new teasers--titled "Spark" and "Ignite"--for its upcoming animated series "Star Wars Rebels. " In "Spark," we get our first look at the young con artist Ezra in action. After crash-landing, he appears to use a sling-shot against The Inquisitor, Darth Vader's henchman. "Ignite" also focuses on Ezra, but gives us a good look at the starship Ghost, captained by Jedi-in-hiding Kanan with crew member Chopper, a cranky droid. Both teasers mention how "a spark of a rebellion ignites," which seems to happen once Ezra and Kanan meet.

Star Wars fans are known for being passionate folks. But if you ask me, they should also be known for how charitable they can be. Some of the most passionate - and charitable - Star Wars fans you'll ever meet are members of the 501st Midwest Garrison , a costuming group that makes public appearances for charity, dressed as characters from the Star Wars movies. They've made appearances at children's hospitals, fundraisers and sporting events. This week, you'll be able to catch Darth Vader and his Imperial Stormtroopers at North Avenue Beach when they...

Lucasfilm and Disney on Friday introduced another character from the upcoming animated series "Star Wars Rebels. " Ezra, a 14-year-old con artist, will be the character through which viewers will witness the rise of the Rebellion. "He's very street-smart, he's a pickpocket, he's a little thief," said Taylor Gray, who voices the character, in a press release. "But he's doing it all because he needs to survive. " Survival will be the name of the game in "Star Wars Rebels," which fits between the action in big-screen films...

It's the greatest tournament in the galaxy! The “ This Is Madness: The Star Wars Character Tournament ” has had Star Wars fans debating who will win the title of Best Character, and they've made their voices heard on message boards everywhere. In the end, it's all going to come down to which character gets the most votes. (I had cast my votes for Lando Calrissian and Darth Vader in the first round. Lando got trounced by Solo, as I expected. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for Grievous,...

[Because I'd like to talk about basically anything but politics for a second...] Disney paid $4 billion for “Star Wars,” and my first reaction was to drop the stupid RedEye column I was writing and finally start work on my space opera, “Planets Conflagration.” (The basic plot is there's an evil galactic dictator, a young rogue using a mysterious power, and a bunch of racist-caricature aliens eating fried chicken and driving spaceships...

Dude No. 1: "Oh man, check it out! A 'Ferris Bueller' commercial!" Dude No. 2: "That's so six days ago. " This isn't an ad for a phone. It's a conversation that probably will happen Sunday during the Super Bowl. As a sporting event, the Super Bowl isn't all that great. I can't even tell you who won two years ago. But it's the biggest TV event in our country - and a huge part of it is the ads. According to Nielsen, more people watch the game for the commercials than the actual football/Madonna lip-synching.

This past weekend the Chicago White Sox held a special Star Wars day at U.S. Cellular Field . People were encouraged to come to the game dressed as their favorite character to participate in an on-field parade. The 501st Midwest Garrison , the costuming group that is most often seen dressed as Imperial Stormtroopers , was invited. And Darth Vader even threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Oh yeah, the Force was strong with Star Wars geeks that day. Now, the White Sox weren't the only MLB team to hold...
