Consider this: two prominent Chicago Bears players, Lance Briggs and Israel Odonijea have produced their own comic books. The current GMs of the Bears and Chicago Cubs are admitted "stat nerds", using sabermetrics and the like to help them make decisions on what players to draft and sign.
