It's Week Three of the Survivor League where my arch rival - and Chicago's #1 White Sox Fan - Soxman and I go up against each other in fantasy football. Last week saw Soxman boasting as he had a great week while I only managed a pair of wins. This week, while we both went undefeated, Soxman still holds bragging rights since he has leapt to the top of the standings in our league. Was it a result of luck, skill or the good-will of his fellow fantasy players? Read on and see for yourself: SOXMAN: Well, Week 3 was another TD fest for both of us in...

“This is real life” is a phrase that CM Punk uses at the beginning of his new autobiographical movie “ CM Punk: Best in the World .” He says that to make sure the viewer knows that when he talks about his own life, it's not part of the fiction that comes with being a “superstar” in the WWE. The film does cover some very personal aspects of his life, and I must admit that for being such a private person, I was surprised with how...

He's got a seat with one of the best views in all of sports in the Wrigley Field press box, but on a Cubs game day you'll almost never find the team's communications manager Kevin Saghy in it. "I love the view from the press box, but it can be hard to engage as we would want to if we sat up here for all nine innings," he said. Saghy, who along with colleague Mary Reisert serves as the voice behind the team's @cubs Twitter feed, prefers to spend his days at the ballpark using the account to connect with fans on a personal level.

If we've learned anything about those of you who voted for RedEye sports Stud and Dud of the year, it's that you love monstrous dudes slamming into each other. Uhhh, let us explain. By that we mean you're big fans of pro wrestling and hate the fact that hockey's elite players are on the shelf right now. After two weeks of voting on RedEye Sports' Facebook page, CM Punk took home the Stud of the Year title for the second straight year. The Chicago native successfully defended the WWE Championship in April by defeating Chris Jericho.

If you were a Chicagoan watching the WWE Royal Rumble last night you should have been left with a sense of outrage. Why? Because in addition to the signature 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal, the pay-per-view was highlighted by a main event featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson versus Chicago's favorite son CM Punk . And Punk got screwed. Entering the RR, Punk was riding a history-making streak of 434 consecutive days as the WWE Champion and fans were divided on whether the Rock would break...

It's time to vote for the Chicago sports Stud and Dud of the Year! Last year CM Punk and Adam Dunn were our winners. Well, one of them looked like a winner, anyway. Thanks for your help choosing the nominees. Here's who made the final cut for our polls. Voting closes Dec. 25 for both polls. STUD OF THE YEAR NOMINEES, vote here Matt Grevers: The Lake Forest native won the 100-meter backstroke and helped Michael Phelps win gold in the 400 medley relay in London.

The Bulls did it. They actually ended Miami's 27-game winning streak. Taking a page out of the Bears' book and using intense physical play, the Bulls downed the Heat on Wednesday at the United Center. How'd they pull this off, despite not having Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Rip Hamilton or Marco Belinelli? Here's how. 1. Channeling CM Punk Twice in the first half, Kirk Hinrich stepped in front of LeBron James on the fast break to prevent him from dunking highlight reel-style.

As a fan of professional wrestling, I often imagine what the WWE would look like today if the male Superstars were promoted the same way as the female Divas. If you follow the current storylines in the top-rated "RAW" and "Smackdown" series, there is a significant difference in how the two sexes are portrayed. Consider this: Current WWE champion--and Chicago native--CM Punk is a tough-as-nails straight shooter who is one of the most popular wrestlers in the industry. He plays the part of an anti-establishment hero who thumbs his nose at authority.

When's the last time you watched pro wrestling? Maybe it was randomly on at a friend's house, or late one night in college. There's probably a better chance that the last time you saw it when you were a little kid. I'd like to implore you to change that habit. Boxing is a shell of it's former self, and UFC can be hit-or-miss, depending on the card. (Did I mention former UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar is wrestling again?) This Sunday, the WWE (you may remember them as WWF)
