McDonalds is hoping you'll make it a McChristmas this year. The fast-food restaurant is urging its franchise owners to stay open on Christmas Day.  So, will they oblige and keep deep-frying all day on what is almost undeniably the most celebrated holiday in America? A company rep said that whether or not your neighborhood McDonalds will remain open is up to its owner. There is no official company policy; even corporate locations (the ones owned by McDonald's, not an individual franchise owner)

Headquarters beercade keeps tabs on what games its patrons would most like to see added to its lineup, and for the holidays, they're doing their best to make those wishes a digital reality. For Christmas, the Lakeview bar plans to throw an X-Men X-Mas, where it will unveil the bar's newest gaming addition, the multiplayer "X-Men" arcade game. The game was highly requested on the bar's in-house receipt, and everyone there will be able to participate in a tournament-style promotion all day Christmas Day. I think I've got this sabermetrics thing figured out. I'm on to Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer. After analyzing charts of data, tendencies, numerous situations, probabilities, outcomes, statistics, the Cubs have figured out they need to go after Prince Fielder and/or Albert Pujols. Well, duh. I could have told you that. Geniuses, I'll tell ya. If they're so smart, how come David DeJesus is a Cub? Guy hit less than .250 last year. I want to see his metrics. Taj Gibson might not be the Bulls' superstar, but the soft-spoken forward nevertheless offered up his fair share of highlight-reel-worthy moments in the team's postseason run last spring. Most spectacularly, he threw down a dunk practically on top of Miami's Dwyane Wade, a slam that put him into the headlines for days. But don't expect Gibson to brag about it. Instead, he throws the credit to C.J. Watson - who passed him the ball for the big dunk - puts his head down and continues to work.

Quentin Tarantino's newest movie, "Django Unchained," is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas Day. If fans can't wait that long to get their fill of big-screen QT, they'll have an opportunity early in December thanks to Miramax, Fathom Events and IGN. As one of those "one night only" movie events, the trio will present two of Tarantino's classics, "Resevoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" on Dec. 4 and 6, respectively, at select theaters across the country....
