The saviors are here … hoorah, hoorah, sigh. First the Sox. Kevin Youkilis has arrived. We asked for it, we got it, so far so good. Worst case: The guy shows his age, continues to hit .220, bad back kills him, whatever. Folks, that's a major improvement over what we had! Which was … nothing! Seriously, .250 is like a Hall of Famer in these parts. Caution note: Adam Dunn is heading back home … to the Mendoza Line: Come on, Donkey! Let's put .200 in the rear-view mirror for good!

Zoe Damacela just might be the most famous fashion designer you've never heard of. The Northwestern Student has posed with President Obama in the Oval Office. She has been featured on Oprah's Angel Network. And last month, the editors of Seventeen magazine splashed her across the cover of the October issue. She counts Tyra Banks of "America's Next Top Model" fame among her mentors and clients. But at 19 years old, Damacela has been in the game for fewer seasons than "Project Runway," which, for the record, caps its ninth cycle Thursday with a very special "Behind the Seams" episode.

Spoiler alert: I am pissed. More pissed than if a winner had actually been announced on last night's "finale" of "RuPaul's Paul's Drag Race" and it wasn't Sharon Needles? Yes. Maybe. You see, the biggest problem is that there's a reason they call an episode a "finale. " It's because it's the FINAL-e episode. And they'd already teased to something in the reunion -- we were supposed to be told what in the holy hell Willam did to be kicked off the show. There was ALREADY a bullshit teaser, something we were unfairly denied in an earlier episode to make...

A poll conducted by L.A. Fitness in December 2012 showed that the top New Year's resolution for 2013 was not the usual health-conscious promise to exercise more or to drink less. No, people wanted to read more books. And read they did ... or at least, they wanted to. Goodreads users pledged to read more than 25 million books in the social media site's 2013 Reading Challenge, though only a fraction of the challenges were completed by Dec. 10. People also bought more books this year, even if those books ended up gathering dust on bedside tables or taking up memory on e-readers.
