So THAT'S what it looks like when Jay Cutler smiles. In fact, Monday's Bears win illustrated not just what his smiles look like but where they come from. For instance, when the offensive line gives Cutler time to throw, he smiles. And when best buddy Brandon Marshall gives him a jump ball target as large as Shaq in the post, he smiles. And when he flips a pass off his back foot to a sprinting Devin Hester for a touchdown, yes, the cantankerous quarterback is all smiles. Speaking of that beautiful touchdown, Hester smiles when he watches the replay and sees that he did indeed have both hands beneath the...

Review: The Big Cheese Poutinerie 3401 N. Clark St. 872-206-8749 Rating:  !!! (out of 4) Off to a good start God help you if you're a stoner and you live anywhere near the intersection of Clark and Roscoe streets. There you'll find The Big Cheese Poutinerie, a new purveyor of a munchies-sating and artery-threatening dish known as poutine. Though the name itself sounds, well, less than appetizing*, poutine is a snack made from French fries crowned with cheese curds and gravy, thought to be invented in Quebec in the 1950s.

I was having a beer with an old friend from college, and somehow this hypothetical question came up: if you had to give up either sex or cheese for the rest of your life, which would it be? Now at first I thought the answer was obvious, and I kind of didn't understand what there was to discuss, but she put on this pained expression and said, “Weeeellllll, I dunno. Close call.” She went on to say that one of her best friends swore up and down that she'd give up sex long before she gave up cheese.

Well I guess this is growing up.  Marketed under the guise of Protein Power Packs, or P3, Oscar Meyer has launched a new product that's basically an adult Lunchable. The packs, which the company announced Feb. 24, are "designed for active consumers looking for a snack to help keep them going throughout the day," according to a press release. In reality, that means it's a three-compartment plastic pack that looks a lot like a skinny Lunchable filled with meat, nuts and cheese.

Let's get one thing out of the way: If you have not eaten a burger sandwiched between two halves of a “bun” made from deep fried mac-n-cheese, you have not truly lived. Rockit Burger Bar in Wrigleyville became the latest burger joint to jump on the burgers-with-ridiculous-things-as-buns trends. After seeing buns made from donuts, cronuts and ramen, Chef Amanda Downing said mac 'n' cheese was a natural progression. “[I thought] this could be the answer to the ramen burger," she said.

Marcel Somfelean, owner of former West Loop restaurant Pasha, loves Kuma's Corner, but doesn't care for the heaping serving of noise he gets while dining there. He's hoping to appeal to others who share that feeling with Buzz - Burgers, Barrels & Beer, which opened in North Center on Monday. "There are lots of places for burgers," Somfelean said. "We try to go high-end, sophisticated, but at the same time reasonably priced. " The restaurant uses grass-fed beef sourced from farms in Missouri and Wisconsin and buns from Highland Baking...
