Here's the situation. You are a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. (You're not, but just go with it.) Your boyfriend is a Buffalo Bills wide receiver. The two teams are playing each other Sunday. Whom do you cheer for? Kelsi Reich, the Cowboys cheerleader in question, was faced with that dilemma Sunday. For her, though, it just might have been a win-win. Her team won easily. And her boyfriend, David Nelson, caught a touchdown pass for the Bills. Hip, hip, hooray.   Oh yes Tony Romo Dallas quarterback Romo wasn't impressed with Nelson's touchdown.

I cannot wait for the Super Bowl, but not because I'm rooting for a particular team. As a matter of fact, I couldn't tell you which color jerseys are playing because I stopped paying attention once the Washington Redskins lost. I am excited because, for at least another six months, I won't have to pretend to like football, just like Lennay Kekua did. It's not that I'm a girly-girl. For whatever reason, I've just never been particularly interested in sports. Maybe it was the fact that I never understood how players changed their allegiance to teams so I didn't understand why I couldn't.

A movie can become a franchise easily when its plot basically consists of its stars hanging out and vaguely pretending that a story is being told. As such, this summer brings “Grown Ups 2,” in which Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade again reminisce about the old days and confront adulthood with all the down-to-earth honesty of a smug, rich movie star. Apparently the sequel contains a moose peeing in Sandler's face (shocking, a urine joke in a Sandler movie)

It was relatively easy to convince Hollywood writer/director James Gunn to sign on to his first video game project. All he had to do was watch a short video clip of a game in which a high school cheerleader chops up zombies with a chainsaw. "It was like the coolest aesthetic I'd ever seen," said Gunn, whose eccentric resume includes the sci-fi horror comedy "Slither" and the dark superhero comedy "Super. " "I asked them what do you want me to do? I'll do whatever. " In the end, Gunn signed on to write the story and dialogue for "Lollipop...

Somewhere in Chicago, the city's newest Bears fan was born today, and that child never got to see Brian Urlacher play as a Bear. In fact, I was 6 years old when Walter Payton retired, and I only hazily remember his highlights. Family members, NFL Films, YouTube, books and stat checking have filled in much of the picture, but there's nothing like watching a player week after week, season after season, to truly get a sense of his talent. So if you are the parent of a Bears fan age 6 or younger, please make sure the following information is...

So you have an idea for a community project. And it's brilliant. And it will involve lots of people and create newfound bonds within your neighborhood, and people will love it and share it and participate for years to come. It's a nice thought. But how do you turn that initial enthusiasm into the fulfillment of your vision? The founders of Learnapalooza are eager to show you.   Saturday marks the third annual Learnapalooza festival, Wicker Park's free day of learning that links teachers of various skills with people excited to learn them, all hosted in...

I love the bar scene. Most 20-somethings do. But if bars are great for fun and relaxation, then surely all their magic is nixed by the networking events. Network "parties," they have the nerve to call these feeding frenzies. There's nothing more horrifying for a young up-and-comer - as I like to see myself - and, unfortunately, nothing more necessary. I was invited to just such an event recently, and they're a nightmare. You immediately think of how you'll be required to dress.

For Ashley Battersby's 25th birthday on Sunday, she's got an extra special present in mind - a Winter X Games gold medal. In her last three years at the X Games, she finished fourth twice and fifth another time. "It's all I really want," the Park Ridge native said. "I'm stoked about it. " Of course, in slopestyle skiing, just completing a competition without injury is an accomplishment. The sport involves doing aerial spins, flips, grabs, grinds off rails and big jumps to impress judges.

Kanye West faced Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday and he was, um, genius? The rapper appeared on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to address the feud he and the late-night host have been embroiled in ever since West went on Twitter last month to criticize Kimmel after the latter spoofed a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 in which West called himself the biggest rock star in the world. As you can see in the clip above, West still has a high opinion of himself. "I'm a creative genius," he told Kimmel, "and there's no other way to word it. I know you're not supposed...
