To celebrate the return of Black Sabbath to Chicago, Lockdown Bar and Grill has created a burger that's inspired by the heavy metal band's 1970 song, "War Pigs. " During Lollapalooza weekend, August 3-5, the restaurant will sell the "War Pigs" burger, which consists of four different types of meat including bacon, angus beef, prosciutto and carnitas. The burger is regularly known as the "cruelty to animal burger" on the menu, but the restaurant is changing things up and dedicating it to the band, which headline at the annual Chicago music festival.

Burger review: Parts and Labor 2700 N. Milwaukee Ave. 773-360-7040 Rating: !! 1/2 (out of 4) A man cannot live on one type of burger alone--certainly not a beef-obsessed man like Burgerelli. Thick char burgers certainly are satisfying, but my tummy has rumbled recently for the lace-like edges of a pressed griddle burger. Edzo's Burger Shop fits the bill, but wherefore art the rest of the griddle burger barons? Parts and Labor, a mechanic-themed bar and burger restaurant that opened mid-December in Logan Square, serves only these precious pressed patties.

A triple cheeseburger, a birthday cake shake, and two full servings of poutine walk into a restaurant--and proceed to totally ruin your life. The end. What started off as the send-up to a cheap joke quickly turned into my worst nightmare Thursday night at Bad Happy Poutine, at 939 N. Orleans. RedEye dispatched me to the four-month-old Near North Side restaurant under simple orders: Take the restaurant's Triple Double Challenge, which involves consuming all of the above items in under 30 minutes, write about it and try not to die in the process.

Burger review: Buzz Burgers, Barrels & Beer 1935 W. Irving Park Road 773-880-9810 Rating:  !! (out of four) The Great Burgerelli is, if nothing else, a certifiable sojourner. I have traveled all corners of Earth in my quest for the most scrumptious of burgers. I've eaten gourmet ground beef in Tokyo and sunk my teeth into sliders in St. Paul. As a wise soul once said, there is nowhere a mountain high enough and nowhere a river wide enough to keep me from getting to you, you delectable meat patty.

Big Ten sports bars packed with recent grads. Pub floors sticky with cheap beer. DePaul students dancing until 3 a.m. before a pizza run on the way back to the dorms. This is Lincoln Park nightlife. Or is it? A recent crop of seriously buzzed-about bars and restaurants opening in Lincoln Park - Morso, 2 Sparrows, The Barrelhouse Flat, Butcher & The Burger among them - is  bringing with it a new kind of energy the neighborhood hasn't felt in a while. With its powder blue walls and vest-wearing bartender, Morso's upstairs cocktail lounge feels more like Logan Square's The Whistler than anything else...

Review: Spritz Burger 3819 N. Broadway 773-868-9866 Rating: 3 (out of 4) I, the Great Burgerelli, do believe that the hottest circles of hell should be reserved for charlatans such as Guy Fieri. I thoroughly appreciate those who can communicate their passion for food on television without acting like gross caricatures, and this is why I have long since been an admirer of Steve McDonagh and Dan Smith, also known as The Hearty Boys. Unlike that peroxide-spill victim Fieri, Chicago's own unambiguously gay duo of Dan and Steve showed America...

There's no question that Chicago is a big burger town, but the scene just got a major boost with four new burger joints firing up their grills. We took an early look to see how they're stacking up. The Burger Point 1900 S. State St. 312-842-1900 Best for: South Loopers looking for a closer option than Epic Burger. It's not necessarily worth a trip unless you're in the neighborhood. Who's there: Condo owners from the building upstairs. Tasting notes: Though we weren't asked how we'd like our patty cooked (it arrived medium well)

Eggy's 333 E. Benton Place. 773-234-3449 Rating: !!! (out of 4) Sometimes a great burger can be hard to find. In the case of recently opened Eggy's, it is actually the restaurant itself that can be tricky to locate. This new diner is located in the Lakeshore East complex hidden away just north of Millennium Park, which one can find by following these simple instructions: Walk east on Randolph Street past the Aon Center, veer left at the sign for Village Market, descend to the lower level at the end of the plaza and then walk out onto the sidewalk to find Eggy's.

Let's get one thing out of the way: If you have not eaten a burger sandwiched between two halves of a “bun” made from deep fried mac-n-cheese, you have not truly lived. Rockit Burger Bar in Wrigleyville became the latest burger joint to jump on the burgers-with-ridiculous-things-as-buns trends. After seeing buns made from donuts, cronuts and ramen, Chef Amanda Downing said mac 'n' cheese was a natural progression. “[I thought] this could be the answer to the ramen burger," she said.

Marcel Somfelean, owner of former West Loop restaurant Pasha, loves Kuma's Corner, but doesn't care for the heaping serving of noise he gets while dining there. He's hoping to appeal to others who share that feeling with Buzz - Burgers, Barrels & Beer, which opened in North Center on Monday. "There are lots of places for burgers," Somfelean said. "We try to go high-end, sophisticated, but at the same time reasonably priced. " The restaurant uses grass-fed beef sourced from farms in Missouri and Wisconsin and buns from Highland Baking...

It appears that the union of geeky movies with burger chains is still going strong these days. Remember when you could buy Star Wars tumbler glasses at that particularly royal fast food burger joint? I sure miss those. Well, while they aren't offering collectible kitchenware, the folks at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers have put a new spin on the promotional burger tie-in. They're offering free tickets, a shot at a trip to Japan, and burgers inspired by "The Wolverine", the new X-Men spin-off starring...
