Considering she'd just spent several weeks preparing for it, the seven minutes Ashley Piepenbrink spent kicking, twirling and dancing in front of judges in her bid to join the Luvabulls felt more like two seconds. The 24-year-old from Wrigleyville hired a personal trainer to help her lose 3 inches off her waist and spent much of her free time practicing dance moves. Practice: During the season, the guys rehearse four hours a week across two days. 2. Fearlessness: You can never hold back when performing in front of 20,000 people at a game. When Michelle Harris, the Bulls' director of entertainment, has the floor, she means business. "Buckle up and be ready," Harris told the 225 estimated women who came to the United Center on Saturday in hopes of becoming a member of the Luvabulls. They hail from different backgrounds - teacher, account executive and personal trainer, to name a few. But they all have one goal: to land one of the 20 open spots on the Bulls' dance team, which is in its 35 t h season. The first rounds of cuts were made this weekend, and the squad will be finalized later this week.
