Chirping will turn into shoving, and shoving will become a brawl. And a real hockey rivalry will be born. These teams haven't played often enough to engender the deep, dark hockey hatred that only comes from repeated exposure and repeated cheap shots. But the combination of uber-high expectations in Chicago and "Hey, aren't we the defending champs?"

“Hell on Wheels” stars Common and Anson Mount sport “300”-worthy torsos during a brawl in the Western's next episode - but don't suggest to Common that those abs were spray-tanned on. “No, we don't spray, man,” the Chicago native told me, laughing, during our interview earlier in the season. “We work out, man. We don't spray.” In “Bread and Circuses,” airing at 9 p.m. Dec. 4 on AMC, Common's Elam Ferguson, a former slave now working for the Union Pacific Railroad, challenges his foreman, Cullen Bohannon (Mount)

During his playing career, Robin Ventura was known for his slick glove at third base and his knack for grand slams. Oh, and for that time he got his face flattened when he charged the mound on the legendary Nolan Ryan, who was 20 years older than Ventura at the time. So, now that Ventura's returned to the Sox clubhouse as the manager, are his players letting him have it? "I haven't heard anything of it, honestly," said pitcher Chris Sale, who added he has seen video of the 1993 incident.

The "Sons of Anarchy" come out swinging in this teaser for the show's upcoming sixth season, which is set to begin in September on FX. The network on Thursday released the teaser, which shows Jax (Charlie Hunnam) fighting with Clay (Ron Perlman) while Bobby (Mark Boone Junior) tries to keep Tara (Maggie Siff) and Gemma (Katey Sagal) from tearing each other apart. Hopefully this is a sign that Tara, who was led away in handcuffs at the end of last season, will be out and able to tell Jax what a scary ahole he's becoming.

One can't blame baseball fans if they're frustrated by the lack of hits at U.S. Cellular Field this season. That might change Friday, however, when ESPN brings its "Friday Night Fights" series to the home of the White Sox. According to promoters, it's the first time a Chicago baseball stadium has hosted a professional boxing card since Sept. 25, 1962. The lineup features two boxers with Chicago ties: Andrzej Fonfara and Mike Mollo. ANDRZEJ FONFARA Fonfara is on the rise in the boxing world.

The average Wrigleyville bar fight is often sparked by an age-old dispute: Cubs versus White Sox. But the brawl that broke out at a neighborhood Bacci Pizzeria on a recent morning was likely over a spilled drink, according to the store owner. Video of the fight, which was shot and uploaded to YouTube on March 24, and dissected on Deadspin  on Wednesday, depicts three men dueling it out with the store's metal chairs in the early morning. The video was also linked to on the Chicago Reddit page.
