Jay Cutler had a rough game last week against Green Bay - his 28.2 passer rating was the second worst of his Bears career. But the NFL has a short memory, and you're only as good (or bad) as your last game. What will Bears fans be saying Monday? RedEye takes a look at some of Cutler's worst games as a Bear and his follow-up performances.   THE BAD WEEK 2009, Week 1: Green Bay 21, Bears 15 Rating: 43.2 The Jay Cutler Hype Machine began in September 2009 with a nationally-televised loss to the Packers.

Three Bears fans walk into a bar. Let's call them Trusty, Scaredy and Doubty: Trusty: So, Jay Cutler should start Sunday, right? Scaredy: Absolutely! Did you see that arm strength in the Cleveland game? He fits the football into windows that Josh McCown can't. No, no … that NO OTHER quarterback can! Doubty: Did you see him force throws in that same Cleveland game? Cripes, he cost the Bears 10 points on forced throws to Brandon Marshall, and simply got lucky that his lollipop of a toss to Alshon Jeffrey wasn't intercepted, either.

Oh, you have Bears season tickets? Then stop reading now, you lucky jerk. For the rest of us, Sundays (and Monday, Nov. 4 against Green Bay ... oh yes!) will see us glued to the TV from the edge of a barstool. If you don't have cable, finding a great game-day bar is a must, but even if you do, there's a lot to be said for the camaraderie - and beer and snacks - that a good football bar provides. Because there are as many types of Bears bars as there are bad Ditka impressions, take your own personality into account when choosing.

This is the one weekend of the year I like to pause and give thanks for what we have in our lives, but that's not happening this year. It's not happening because the football gods have dealt me another blow. The second in my lifetime, in fact. Mid-1980s. The Bears were phenomenal. One hitch. You know it. The QB. Couldn't get it straight. McMahon, Tomczak, Fuller, Flutie, Harbaugh, Landry, Payton. (Yes, him! Look it up! 1984.) And now this. Again. Playoff team, everything seems to be clicking, defense and special teams kicking butt and Jay Cutler hurt … the thumb.

Michael Vick is turning heads lately, thanks to his (usually) outstanding play. He's also still a polarizing figure, thanks to his dogfighting conviction and the prison sentence that followed. Forbes.com reported Monday that Vick is the NFL's most disliked player, according to a poll by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research. The website reports that 60 percent of those polled said they “dislike,” “dislike somewhat” or “dislike a lot” the Philadelphia quarterback. Joining Vick on the list is Jay Cutler (No. 5, 38 percent)

The Bears and Detroit Lions love to hate each other. The last time they faced off, the Lions' Ndamukong Suh ripped off Jay Cutler's helmet, Detroit's Nate Burleson shoved Tim Jennings out of bounds and Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford grabbed D.J. Moore by the helmet and threw him to the ground. The fact these teams dislike each other is nothing new, of course, and the stakes were high enough to keep things chippy Monday. The Bears were trying to hold on to first place in the NFC North, and the Lions were attempting to revive their playoff hopes.

With two backup quarterbacks starting, Monday night's Bears-49ers game wasn't the showdown people anticipated when the season kicked off. Still, somebody had to win, and the result very well could decide who grabs the top seed in the NFC a few months from now. Here's how the Bears' Jason Campbell and San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick shaped the outcome.   FIRST QUARTER Campbell: Where have we seen this before? Campbell looked very Cutler-like in getting sacked on his first pass play of the game and completed just one throw in the quarter.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about Danica Patrick's history-making win of the pole at the Daytona 500 is she did so while dealing with a new high-profile romance. Before Sunday's qualifying race, most headlines about the 30-year-old Roscoe, Ill. native revolved around her relationship with new boyfriend, fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. If Patrick takes the checkered flag at Daytona, she'll be on the short list of athletes who have succeeded while in a much-buzzed-about coupling.

And baby makes ... four? Well, not just yet. But Kristin Cavallari says she and her new hubby, Bears QB Jay Cutler, may not be far off. "We are both ready for baby No. 2," she told E! News. "I don't have any announcement today, that's for sure, but we're gettin' there. " (Does Jay know about this?) To give Chicago's No. 1 hottest football/beach-themed reality show couple more time to talk about giving 10-month-old Camden a brother or sister, we decided to plot the next few decades of their lives.
