Conan O'Brien and crew are coming to town on Monday for a week of "Conan" tapings at the Chicago Theatre as part of the TBS Just for Laughs Festival , and the schedule of interview and musical guests isn't looking too shabby.  Jack McBrayer stops by on Monday for a little insight on his days in the Chicago improv scene, Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler guest on separate days to talk about their new father-son flick "That's My Boy" just in...

Combining movies and TV, a live broadcast and drinking celebs always creates the potential for oddness. But with the exception of the inevitable excellence of hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (who also won!), Sunday's Golden Globes was particularly strange. Jared Leto, who took time off from a terrible band to make "Dallas Buyers Club," opened his best supporting actor acceptance speech (for a serious role as a transgender woman with AIDS) with numerous bad jokes about Brazilian waxing.

Stay tuned for my full Q&A from today's interview with Andy Samberg of "That's My Boy," opening Friday. For now here's a small sample, including where Samberg dined in Chicago last night and if he thinks popular "SNL" guest host Justin Timberlake will ever take on a full-time role on the show. Do you have any favorites in Chicago, places you have to go when you're here? I went to Lula Café last night. It was delicious. What did you order? All kinds of schnizz.

In "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," Andy Samberg plays Jake Peralta, a crack New York detective who ignores the rules and lands on the bad side of his new captain, Ray Holt (Chicago native Andre Braugher). The new Fox series is one of only a few sitcoms in the past several years set in the world of the police force. That it recalls the 1970s sitcom "Barney Miller" isn't a mistake, according to Mike Schur, the show's co-creator and executive producer with Dan Goor. The two worked together on NBC's "Parks and Recreation.

Yes, Andy Samberg shares a similar name and kinda similar face with Adam Sandler. Yet perhaps the main reason Samberg was the obvious choice to play Sandler's character's child in "That's My Boy" is that, just like a devoted son who stands by his dad, Samberg has admired and supported his fellow "Saturday Night Live" alum despite all the Razzie nominations and a stream of movies that are lucky to receive even one-star reviews. In the film, opening Friday, Todd (Samberg) isn't so loyal.

Between leaving "Saturday Night Live" (Andy Samberg), coming on "Girls" (Jorma Taccone), and whatever else Akiva Shaffer does (Akiva Shaffer), the Lonely Island dudes have stayed steady pursuing other ventures recently. This summer, though, they'll release their third album, "The Wack Album," and will come to Chicago on July 15 for a special show in its anticipation. It's the first time (!) that they'll perform in the city. "We're decidedly pumped to share another collection of our fake raps with the world," said the group in a press release.

Tina Fey will return to "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 28 to host its Season 39 premiere, NBC announced Monday. Fey, the former head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor, already has hosted three times since leaving the show in 2006. Arcade Fire will makes its fourth appearance as musical guest the same night. "SNL" enters its 39th season after seeing the exits of key cast members such as Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg, so it's a no-brainer to get Fey back in the fold for the premiere Expect some fun cameos, too. ...

**1/2 (out of four) Celeste (co-writer Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) both put their fingertips on a tiny squeeze bottle of lip balm. They rub up and down and make sexual noises. After a little while, they squeeze the tube. You know what happens next. This is the epitome of an inside joke, the kind of thing that filters through the bloodstream of a relationship. These two still have no trouble laughing together. Yet for some reason the longtime sweethearts, who have been married for six years but separated six months...

*1/2 (out of four) "The Wack Album" represents the Lonely Island's first full-length album since the comedy trio (consisting of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) ceased contributions to "Saturday Night Live. " Without the group enjoying the luxury of premiering their songs in video form on "SNL," there's a definite lack of awareness (both from the audience and from TLI members themselves) for their third major studio album. Their proven formula for the past two albums--making light of the current rap scene while making fun of...

Calling its 2013-14 schedule Fox's “biggest investment in original programming in our history,” Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly on Monday presented the network's plans to launch original shows over all 12 months of the year. The schedule includes five new comedies, four dramas and the network's first “event” series, “Wayward Pines” from M. Night Shyamalan. Reilly also confirmed that the network would bring back “24” as a limited-run event series. Other highlights of the schedule include “New Girl” getting the post-Super Bowl slot for 2014...
