Spoiler alert: I believe fans on both sides of the Atlantic have now had a chance to see the season finale of "Strike Back," which aired on Cinemax in the U.S. But if you haven't, stop reading. Amanda Mealing expected strong fan reaction from the death of her character, Col. Eleanor Grant, in the season finale of “Strike Back.” Her two biggest fans had already seen it - and were “incensed,” she said. “My sons watched it the other day and they were saying, 'Mama, why didn't you wait for Scott to shoot?

Amanda Drinkall may have grown up in a conservative Presbyterian family in Oswego, Ill., but that doesn't mean that her family isn't supportive of her decision to step into a pair of stiletto-heeled boots - and not much else - for her role in the Chicago premiere of "Venus in Fur," by New York playwright David Ives. "They're excited; they're so proud," she said when we caught up with her at the Goodman Theatre after watching the final on-stage run-through before that evening's dress rehearsal.

If fans of ABC's "Revenge" feel like making a drinking game out of watching the soapy series, they now have a drink of choice: the Black Dahlia. In Wednesday's episode, "Treachery," the real Emily Thorne--I'll call her Amanda (Margarita Levieva) to make things easier--mixed up a few Black Dahlias for herself and bar hunk Jack (Nick Wechsler). I looked around the web for the drink and found many versions of it. But not the "Revenge" version. So here's the recipe as Amanda said it: BLACK DAHLIA 3 ounces of vodka 1 ounce Creme de cassis "A little"...

Amanda Tapping kissed, and now she's finally telling. Earlier this week I chatted by phone with the "Sanctuary" star and producer about the upcoming two-part Season 4 finale, but before we talked about "Sanctuary for None," I just had to ask about "Monsoon," the season's fourth episode. And that controversial kiss between her character, Dr. Helen Magnus, and the very attractive scientist Charlotte Benoit (Sandrine Holt). "I just thought it was a nice kiss … I don't think we were trying to push any buttons particularly,” Tapping said from Vancouver on Tuesday.

On April 21, 2003 , I was an 18-year-old senior at Ferndale High School in Washington state. I was about a week away from making the most important decision of my life so far: where I would go to college. I worked at Dairy Queen, where a sophomore guy I had a crush on would come in to visit me. I wanted to be a journalist, and couldn't have been more excited about my future. On April 21, 2003 , Amanda Berry, who would turn 17 the next day, got off work at a Cleveland Burger King, accepted a ride home from a stranger, Ariel Castro, and vanished.

Pastry chef Amanda Rockman is known around town for her addictive Basque cake at Bucktown restaurant The Bristol, but last year she took a turn in the national spotlight on Bravo's “Top Chef: Just Desserts.” While she was away taping the show, she found out that The Bristol team was teaming up with Boka Restaurant Group to open a new restaurant called Balena. The Italian-inspired spot will showcase chef Chris Pandel's pasta, pizza and wood-fired meats and is expected to open in late February or early March.

Philip Winchester and Amanda Mealing recognized the strange coincidence Thursday that they were doing press for their series "Strike Back" on the day Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi was killed. In the Cinemax action drama, they play members of a secret British military special force called Section 20 that just might sneak into a country to bolster an insurgency against an unfriendly government. "This is the voice of the people," Winchester suggested of the Libya news, "but you wonder if there have been little pockets of Special Forces guiding the tip of...

When Amanda Tapping saw the final mix for the Season 4 finale of "Sanctuary," she cried. "I wept and then I punched Damian [Kindler] in the arm and said, 'Why did you do that?'" Tapping told me Tuesday during a phone chat from Vancouver. The finale, "Sanctuary for None," will air in two hour-long parts at 9 p.m. Dec. 23 and 30 on Syfy. Written by James Thorpe and directed by Damian Kindler, the first part has Helen Magnus (Tapping) teaming with Hollow Earth rebel leader Caleb (guest star Gil Bellows)

“You will know everything when the time is right.” That's what Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping) told her No. 2 man, Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), throughout Season 4 of “Sanctuary,” ( spoilers ahead! ) refusing to tell him the plan she had set in motion while trapped in the past. As we saw in the two-part season finale, “Sanctuary for None,” her secrets nearly destroyed the sanctuary and their relationship. Wait, it did destroy the sanctuary, but she meant to do that.
