What's the best time to stand in line at Hot Doug's?

There's likely to be a line at Hot Doug's from now until they close in October, but some times may be better to go than others in order to avoid the queue.

Chicago ad agency FCB Chicago did some social-data crunching and came up with some insight as to when the lines might not be so lengthy. In a handy infographic, the agency used Facebook check-ins, weather data and tweets mentioning lines at the location to break down the best and worst times to get a foie gras hot dog fix.

The results? Sub 70-degree temperatures and rain logged the least check-ins. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are better than Mondays and Fridays. Additionally customers tweet the least at 11 a.m. on weekdays.

So when should you get your dog on? The graphic concludes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. are the best bets to avoid a long wait.

Of course it's hardly scientific, but it might be the best indication of a short wait for those looking to get one last sausage fix before Hot Doug's closes for good Oct. 4.
