Major League Baseball has already begun interleague play, and this season two teams are ready to ship two fans across the country.

In the White Sox and San Francisco Giants' #SocialSeries contest, a fan of each team will win an all-expenses-paid trip, with a friend, to the opposing team’s city and ballpark when the teams play each other and serve as the team’s social media correspondent.

To win, fans must write an Instagram or Twitter post explaining why they should be the #SocialSeries correspondent for their team. They must include the hashtag #SocialSeries and tag @WhiteSox and @SFGiants

And the winners receive more than just airfare. They’ll have the chance to participate in behind-the scenes activities, as well as a tour of the respective city and the ballpark they are visiting.

The Sox and Giants are considered two of MLB’s social media leaders, according to a White Sox statement.

“As the first two MLB teams with public and social media spaces, we thought the series is a great way to showcase the #SoxSocial Lounge and @Cafe, digitally connect our fan bases and offer the correspondents a unique, behind-the-scenes social experience,” Nicole Saunches, Sox director of mass communications, said in the statement.

The Sox and Giants play at U.S. Cellular Field from June 17-18 and in San Francisco on Aug. 12-13.

The contest to be the Giants’ correspondent at U.S. Cellular Field is under way and will close May 31. For Sox fans, the contest runs from July 1-20.
