Based on the concert footage-heavy trailer Kanye West previously released for his "Yeezus" movie, it seemed like a poster for the film would be a photo of, you know, Kanye. There would be no reason to think he'd have a problem with that.

Apparently not. Today on Instagram Mazdack Rassi of Milk Studios released the first poster for "Yeezus" (seen above), which, as you can see, has a few spots of blood and nothing more. People who haven't seen the trailer (click here to watch it on the Chicago-raised rapper's site) might think the film, written by Bret Easton Ellis (author of "American Psycho") and directed by Hype Williams (many music videos, and also "Belly"), has a story and isn't a documentary about the massive tour that stopped into the United Center in December. There is a chance of that; Yeezus enjoys challenging expectations, and "Yeezus" is coming to theaters.

No matter what, this is not going to be the Kanye version of "One Direction: This Is Us."

Watch Matt review the week's big new movies Fridays at noon on NBC.
