Police find suspicious LSD package, shut down traffic

2:25 p.m. UPDATE: Police have reopened Lake Shore Drive. The suspicious item appears to have been a duffel bag and clothing.

Police have closed a portion of Lake Shore Drive after finding a suspicious package. 

The Chicago Tribune reports that Lake Shore Drive between Wilson and Foster avenues has closed as Bomb and Arson squad units investigate a suspicious package found in Uptown. 

According the Tribune, a call about the package was recieved at 11:52 a.m.,but was not found until 12:50 p.m. 

NBC5 Choppers are above the scene, and show vehicles exiting both lanes as the drive is blocked. 

There have been no injuries, the Tribune reports.
