Pharrell cries watching 'Happy' dance video with Oprah

His video has the whole world dancing. And now he's crying.

Pharrell broke down during an interview with Oprah that aired this week, after watching a super-cut video of his hit "Happy" that featured dancers from Ireland to Portugal to Taiwan.

In the interview, Pharrell explained that the song got very little airplay when it first debuted, but when the video premiered, there was a "boom" of fans all over the world making their own music video renditions.

Pharrell broke down about half way through watching the video with Oprah, and found it difficult to speak afterward. Naturally, Oprah turned the joyful-tears knife just a bit more, asking Pharrell if his grandmother could have ever imagined this success.

Even with the goofy hat, it's unmistakable, that's a man crying genuine happy tears.
