Half Acre's announcement of a second location will come as good news to fans of Daisy Cutter, Heyoka and Over Ale. The North Center brewery said in a blog post Monday morning that they have purchased a second building at 2050 W. Balmoral Ave. just north of Lincoln Square in Bowmanville. The expansion will allow for additional distribution in the Chicago area as well as increased creativity and experimentation in brewing.

And yes, there will be the opportunity for "on-site enjoyment" at the second location.

Half Acre opened its Lincoln Avenue facility in 2007 and added a taproom in 2012. The brewery doesn't give a precise timeline for the expansion, but Chicago knows that good beer is worth waiting for.
