The Central Lakeview Merchants Association is offering free Wrigley Field… (Handout )
Do you bleed blue and red and live for trips to Wrigley Field? Then the Central Lakeview Merchants Association has a deal that's right up your alley.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Friendly Confines, the group is offering free Wrigley Field tattoos (pictured) on Thursday.
"It's an opportunity for die-hard Cubs fans to participate in the celebration," said Jeff Briggs, business relations manager at the CLMA. "We wanted to celebrate the cornerstone of the community."
The association teamed up with Chicago Tattooing & Piercing Company, which whill host the tattooing from noon to midnight Thursday.
The first 12 fans to call the 773-665-2100 and make an appointment will receive a free tattoo. As of Tuesday evening, three appointments were scheduled.
And if you're regretting a certain South Side team tattoo, there's a solution for that on Thursday, too. Chicagoans with White Sox ink can have it removed for free at Tattoo Removal Centers of America. The offer also is open to the first 12 to call the association.
"We came up with an interesting promotion that grabs attention," Briggs said. "It's a funny and unique way to highlight the Lakeview community."
